Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview appointment was today at 12pm. We arrived around 11:30am. We presented our invitation to a friendly officer outside the door who then allowed us to proceed to security. There was no line. After being screened through security, we proceeded to the waiting room for interviews. The room was approximately 50% full. We presented our interview letter at the check in window and were asked to take a seat. About 10 till 12 our attorney showed up. It was a great relief to see her as the anxiety melted away. The we waited. Our attorney spoke to other attorneys in the waiting room and leaving the interview office area. She was told by another attorney that we were on the list for a particular IO who was running about one hour behind schedule. Our attorney knew this particular IO, and was certain of a positive outcome. At about 1:15, the IO appeared at the door and called my husbands name. She was very friendly and all smiles. She and our attorney chatted as we walked to her office. S... read complete review

I just had my AOS interview today. I was scheduled for 12pm and we saw the officer around 12:30 pm, not so bad considering the amount of people in the waiting room.
Everyone there was very nice and polite.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

I just finished my interview. My husband and I arrived at the USCIS office at 1410. Appointment is at 1440. She was a very nice lady. It was scary at first. She called us in. Then, we sat in her office. Afterwards, she asked some questions about my legal status since I was in the US since 2004. She wanted to make sure that before she makes her decision that I was in status during the duration of my stay here. So I gave previous approvals from USCIS. Then, she asked question like my address, date of birth, how many children. She inquire on why it took us so long to apply for AOS. Then, she realized that my husband was just naturalized last February. She told my husband that she knows that she did not naturalized him since his naturalization was recent. Afterwards, she gave me a letter stating that "your case is being held for review. At this time, USCIS does not require any further information or documents from you. Shoud further information or documents be required, you will receive a ... read complete review

I have noticed that there are few people who submitted a review regarding their experience at the Harlingen CIS office. But of course, I am happy to share with you guys how our interview went by.
Our scheduled interview is at 9:40 am, me and my husband arrived there at around 9:15am.
Before entering the building, of course the security guards asked for the appointment letter, and we went through the security check (which is like the one they use in the airport/embassy).
After that, another guard pointed us the waiting room for the AOS applicants.
There were a few people sitting there waiting for their turn to be interviewed as well.
My name was called at 9:50am. It was a lady who interviewed us. She ushered us to her office, and then let us "swear" to tell the truth and nothing but the truth spiel. After that, she let us sat down, and she took "my folder" (which is really think by this time, and i can see the old documents that my hubby... read complete review
