Almost ready for interview September 5, 2019
Interview scheduled September 6, 2019
Interview October 17, 2019

We arrived in downtown Chicago 8.45, we passed security, we take off shoes and all, Key telephone and Correa.
I had an appointment for 9.30 and I spent 9.40. I was attended by a Latin officer, super friendly, when we entered I told my interpreter that it was not necessary that I better wait in the lobby so we did faster.
He made us swear, took a picture of me and told me now I'm going to take some prints, I directly put the right fingers and he said, oh nice you know! I gave my Argentine passport and my birth certificate and my wife only her birth certificate and began reviewing the form. I ask my name, date of birth, where I was born, which was my entry to the US and had entered many times before. Then I wonder ok, what is her name? I... read complete review

We had GC interview scheduled for 8am, arrived at 7:30, passed security with almost no line, checked in at 7:40 and waited. There was probably about 20 parties scheduled at the same time but only few arrived before us. We got called in at 8:15 and were back out at 8:45. The interview was more like conversation, except for the list of mandatory yes/no questions you have to answer. We were asked how we met, where we traveled, how did we decide to get married in New Zealand, to give some background from one of the photos we submitted. Officer was pleasant, even making jokes, so it all felt good, with minimal stress. From all the paperwork we had with us, we were asked only to show IDs, passports and the original Marriage Certificate. Only one item took a bit longer and that was my last I-94. Since i entered last time via land border from Canada, with a new passport, I-94 was not reflecting it so the officer had to verify that. We were told our papers look good for approval, but he will ne... read complete review

We finally had our interview yesterday in the Chicago Field office. per usual, you go through security similar to the airport, get ready to take off your shoes. we go upstairs 2nd floor to check in, the receptionist and guard were very friendly and joked with us when i didn't say good morning, trying to keep us relaxed a bit.

Our appointment was at 11:45, we arrive 11:30 and waiting until 12:30 to go in. so prepare to wait at least an hour, we weren't sure if their lunch break was the reason of delay. there were multiple officers taking people in, i think i counted 5 or 6. ours was a young female, she was nice but still a bit stand-offish. We took our Oath, she took my hubby's fingerprints and both our IDs, his passport. first thing she asked about was his medical because it wasn't in the packet which i did submit. whatever i made her a copy of our original ones, she asked for the original, there goes that!! now I'm stuck with a copy which I hope it's not needed anymore... read complete review
