Review Topic: General Review

We arrived in USCIS Atlanta an hour before the interview to make sure we account traffic, long lines at the entrance and any unexpected mishaps. We got in and register our presence, they gave us a number and waited to be called. It was weird that they call numbers not by sequence.
After 40 minutes of waiting, it was our turn and IO appeared professional. He sat us down, made us comfortable until he started with our business. He asked us to stand up and take an oath and then proceeded to ask questions. He didn’t smile even when we did small talk, kept asking the same questions over and over. It was a very thorough interview. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we finally finished and all he said was “I will mail my decision.”
It was so nerve-wracking! My online status didn’t update since after our Nov. 18th interview but when I woke up this morning, case tracker showed “new card is being produced”
Oh God we were so relieved!!!!

Comments : The interview was scheduled at 12:05 P.M.
My husband and I got there about 20 minutes before, went through a quick security check(similar to the one at the airport), we went to the reception desk and received a number. We took an elevator to a second floor. The man there directed us to the seats. After waiting for about 30 minutes we were called in by the officer.
The whole interview wasn't as tough as many could imagine. It took about 30 minutes, half of that time was the officer typing things down on the computer.
The officer asked a few questions back and forth between me and my husband.

Questions to my husband:
1. When was wife born?
2. "Is that your signature, sir?" (while pointing on mine- wife's- signature at the end of I-485 form
3. Have you met your wife's family?
4. Have you visited her in Poland?
5. Wife's mother's name?
6. How did we meet?

Questions to me:

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview went well and it was easy. The agent was very polite and asked us many routine questions about our demographics including parents and jobs and other information that we entered into the application. I added my new job offer and my husband showed proof of being a USC. I showed photos of my religious wedding (not available at the time of the application), and the agent only asked us one question about our relationship: "when and where did you meet?".

My husband and I prepared for this interview as I've heard that questions can be intimidating and excessive, but we had a very good experience. My case was approved next day and one week later I received my green card by mail.

Arrival:
So, to start with, traffic was slightly bad so I'd recommend to prepare for the worse.
Parking spaces were not much better, as they were very limited at the USCIS field office...

Before entering:
To avoid the possible hassle, we left our phones in the car, but later we did notice some people whom had brought their phones but it was switched off.
We brought a big business-style messenger bag containing all our documents and our accordion folder.

Security:
We actually arrived one hour early, but we were able to get through the airport-style security smoothly and reached the reception/waiting area.

Reception/Appointment:
We had to wait another 20 minutes before queing to get our number from the receptionist (they only give out your number if your interview appointment is within 30minutes).

We didn't queue for too long, perhaps 10 minutes?

The receptionist request... read complete review
