My fiancee arrived at the Embassy at about 6:55 AM and there was already a pretty big line. Even with the big line she got inside pretty fast, and she had to go through two security check points, then they took her fingerprints, and they gave her a number. When the number came up on the board she went to gate #6, she went up and the lady asked her for the forms from packet #4, the envelope from her medical exam, the copy of her birth certificate, her police background check, her family book, the certificate of never being married. The lady also took my I-134 form, and three years of my tax papers.
She told my fiancee to take a seat and wait for the interview. As she was sitting there she saw one of the C.O.'s looking at our file because she saw the pictures I had included, and he called another guy over to look at what I had sent and they both smiled, and a few minutes later my fiance saw her number on the screen, and then she went up to start the interview.

My interview was on 16 Aug, 9.30 am (and was exactly in time) I got in line at the Consulate at 7 am and the line was pretty long, about 150 people were there (both immigration and non-im) The queuing/ waiting part is really long, but dont let yourself distracted or you will miss your number. Everything went smoothly. The CO asked me about 10 questions and didnt look at the evidences at all.
- How and when we met, exact date. (The CO asked me this few times, between other questions maybe to see if I remember it correctly)
- Why he came to see me just after half month of talking.
- His job
- If he or I have children
- How he proposed, describe it in detailed
- My plan once I arrive the US.
Total time maybe 5 mins? People were really nice, the important is to organize your stuff in order so they wont have to instruct you and it wont take too long. I saw a K3 applicant who was told to go out of the room to re-order her documents and she had... read complete review

We got to the Le Duan Street at around 6:30 A.M. The sun was breaking through the morning fog (a good omen), and we felt confident about our chances but not like we were out of the woods. The little service industry that popped up across the street from the consulate seemed to be acting as an unofficial liaison, with some guy touting, when we arrived, that the consulate didn't open until 7:00 A.M. and that no one is allowed to wait outside the gates before then. Therefore, we should just wait across the street, where it just so happens we can conveniently buy something to eat and drink. Hmmm...
My fiancee and I were skeptical, but this in fact is true. We were sternly motioned by a menacing Vietnamese guard to wait on the other side of the street. He blew the whistle at us twice. I wanted to get moving before he blew it again a third time, but my fiancee told me not to worry as she gathered what she needed from the motorbike before finally releasing me to scurry off to... read complete review
