This is just a quick review of the US Embassy in London and our K-1 Visa interview.
We went down the night before and spent some time in London. It wasn't the first time either of us had been there but we still enjoyed a bit of sightseeing and window-shopping. Plus, this helped with work off nervous energy. We were both really worried and nervous. The next day, we took the tube to Vauxhall and walked along the Thames, arriving about half an hour early. I was expecting a line but there were only a few people in front of us. The lady who checked us in was lovely. I was worried that they wouldn't let me in, as I wasn't on the official list (despite trying for ten days to be added to it) but she just made a note that I was there with my fiance and let us both in. I think the most important thing I can say about this process is that the US Citizen needs their passport too.
We passed through security and into the building where we were giv... read complete review

The whole process was very smooth, my interview was at 10 am and I arrived at 9:30 am. After presenting my interview letter and going through security, I waited in line until around 9:45 am when they check your DS-260 confirmation and tell you where to go. In a smaller waiting room, I waited until around 10 am where someone checked my documents. Then about 15 minutes later I had my interview. The lady was nice and not intimidating at all. I swore an oath to tell the truth, and then she asked me where I met my spouse, where she lives and whether I will be moving in with her when I get to the USA. After that, she approved it. I was so shocked at how quick it was that I asked her something like "can I leave then?!" and she smiled and said yes, I will receive my passport soon. I feel very fortunate and happy. I think it is perhaps because the evidence we provided in our I-130 was very extensive so perhaps they had no reason to doubt the legitimacy of our marriage. Or perhaps I wa... read complete review

Our consulate appointment was on June 21st 2018. I was attending with my fourteen-year old son. We applied for a K1 and K2 visa.
The embassy was easy to find and is clearly signposted from the river walk. Coming from the river you enter the site on the north side and walk through a very pleasant park like area. A moat surrounds this part of the building and drops through two waterfalls. We visited on a beautiful summer day and the wild flower and grass meadow that borders the embassy was in full bloom. The exterior is well designed with plenty of bench seating. Access is good for all with no steps or obstacles. There are armed police officers patrolling this area on foot which felt reassuring. However, this could be alarming for a child if they have never seen a person carrying a gun in real life (it is not common to see armed police officers in Britain).
We were admitted to the South Pavilion twenty minutes before our appointment time. They checked our p... read complete review

Excellent service. Security was very quick and easy. Finding where to go also very easy and fast on my day. First and second officers both very pleasant and quick. Extremely happy with the service I received here - simply the best and quickest part of our 15 month-long petition experience!

Very easy process. Arrived at 11:15 for my 11:30 appointment. I handed my email confirmation and passport to a lady who signed me in, and then proceeded through airport style security. I then entered the main building and handed my DS160 to another lady, who attached several stickers to the page and instructed me to take the elevator to the first floor. Upon entering the first floor, a lady at a desk straight ahead pointed me around the corner to the left to the waiting room for the k1 visas. The room was pretty empty, approximately 5 other people in there? I sat down and waited in front of windows 20-21. After approximately ten minutes, my number flashed up on the screen and I was told to go to my window. The gentleman asked me when I met my fiancee, and then went down a check list of required paperwork for me to provide. I then had my finger tips scanned and told to take a seat and wait for my interview. Took a seat for all of five minutes before another officer called me up. She typ... read complete review
