Embassy Review:
My appointment was at 0930, so I arrived at the Consular Services Gate at 0915, with my DS-160 Confirmation Page and Passport Ready – the DS-160 page was then signed off. The lady at the front told me to walk through the doors and ignore the queue, which I did. At the front desk a man took my signed off DS-160 page and added 3x stickers and a EZ Queue ticket (like Argos), then told me, FIRST FLOOR, turn LEFT, (walk to END) then LEFT again and sit down.
So I did.
I waited, 30 mins past my appointment time because the 2x booths in service were occupied by 2x individuals who were getting a longer talk/process than anticipated, but at 10:00 I was called up.
When called, I handed over: Visa Photo (US) – scanned and returned, DS160 Page, W2 Tax Form, 1040 Tax Return, Police Report, Birth Certificate, Letter from Employer, Passport and the I-134. They took my finger prints and that was it. Approximat... read complete review

Thought I would add my experience =)
I arrived at the embassy 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time. Outside the first entrance was a woman who asked to see my DS-160 confirmation and my passport. After she checked those, I went through the airport-style security entrance and walked up to the main building. In this main building were two lines of people queuing with a big reception desk up at the end. I had read from others reviews that with a K1 visa application you skip the line and go straight up to the reception desk. I felt a bit conspicuous doing that as everyone else was waiting patiently, but it was indeed the right thing to do, as the receptionist said yes, K1 applicants do go right through. She asked to see my interview confirmation email and passport, and then gave them back to me with a number sticker on my confirmation page.
I then proceeded to the lifts and went up to the 1st floor, walked along to the left after exiting the lift, a... read complete review

On behalf of my fiance Sean Downey: "The entire experience took 25-30 minutes. I went through security which was very similar to that of airport. Then they told me to go upstairs to floor one, and take two lefts. Then there was a screen kiosk where I checked in. Then I went to a booth and they asked for my documents. I sat down with my number for 5 mins then they called me back to speak with another person at the booth. He was so nice and relaxed. He asked how we met, why I was in my hometown in the first place (she was there on vacation), why we chose to live in the US over England, describe the proposal, talked about how I have been to Chicago Cubs games (he was a dodger fan), if we had wedding plans yet, and that was about it. He only took financially the 134 and literally nothing else. Then he said your visa is approved and you will get it back in 3-5 business days"
