The day before the interview, 8 March, I traveled to London via train and stayed at the Travelodge Vauxhall. As many others have stated, it is far from anything special, but it provided a comfortable place to stay and immense peace of mind getting ready for the interview. I even paid extra for a late 2pm checkout just in case, but it was far from necessary.
The interview was scheduled for 9 March at 9:30am. Around 8:45, I began walking to the Embassy. It took right around 10 minutes. Immediately, people were already queued in the line and I decided to join them instead of waiting around any longer. I expected to be turned away for being so early, but the officer checked my DS-260 and passport, and wrote “IV 9:30†plus their initials on the DS-260, and directed me toward the South Pavilion doors. Here, I underwent airport-style security, and entered the notoriously heavy doors (that were not as heavy as anticipated).

Hey all! Husband got approved today (yay!!!!!) I will upload the review to my timeline so people can find it later but it basically went like everyone says - super easy and straightforward! We are super lucky and I currently live in the UK so haven't had to be apart during this ordeal, but thinking of every single one of you still waiting!
-He arrived at 10:30am for 11am appt - said it was like a ghost town and he didn't know if he was in the right place!
-They only asked for following paperwork (we literally packed every single thing we've submitted to them):
His birth certificate
Our marriage cert
His passport
Police check
2x US sized passport photos
-They only asked him 2 questions:
Where is your wife currently? (UK)
Where do you want to move once you go to the US?
-They told him he was approved!

Got to the entrance, they ask for the appointment letter/email (printed) and Passport - they check it and lead you to security. They ask you if you have any electronics on you. Security took a couple of mins to get through because I had a bottle of water in my bags so they asked me to drink a sip and then sent me to the building where they interview you.
At the interview building, they ask for passport and appointment letter/email again, they give you a number and send you to the appropriate floor. From here you just wait for your number to be shown on the screen - the TV makes a ding/ting sound eveytime a new number shows up. I went up when my number showed up on the screen - Here they give you a paper with information for immigrants and ask you to read it. Then they asked for passport, civil documents*, 1 passport size photograph and the appointment letter with the number sticker on, took biometrics, contact number and asked when my best travel date would be. They als... read complete review
