I'll admit that I had been getting very worried about the interview, but I didn't need to! My interview was scheduled for 9am, and I was in the queue outside at 8.15. There were perhaps 60 people in front of me. I eventually got in and got my ticket from reception at 8.35, and took a seat. I had ticket I913, and noticed that I905 had just been called up. As many people had mentioned, the 'N' numbers were being called nearly every 30 seconds, but there seemd to be only two I's being called at any one time (One for the first interview and one for the second).
I was sat reading my book until 9.50 before I was called up to counter 13. The woman who served me didn't really say a lot. She asked for my certificates, then my I-134. She asked for the supporting docs. I gave her my fiancee's letter from her employer, which she studied ("She has worked for Target for a long while!"), and then asked for anything else. I gave the latest tax transcript from the IRS. She asked if I had... read complete review

K1 Visa Interview...
To sum up:
Lots of waiting, but interview was over in minutes. Dead Easy! Read on for the details.
My appointment was for 9am on a Friday. I took the 0505 Virgin Trains from Manchester to Euston. I decided to hop on the tube from Euston to Bond Street (Victoria line, then change at Oxford Circus for the central line) for £4 - note to anyone else travelling by Virgin Trains - get the "tube add-on" to your VT ticket - it would've been a lot cheaper than a standard single fare.
Walked from Bond Street to Grosvenor Square (dead easy) then to Gould Pharmacy. It's a tiny shop up N. Audley street but easy to find. You tell someone sitting at a tiny desk that you want to drop off your electronics and he runs through what you're not allowed to take in with you. £3 for the day. Then I had my photos taken. I only needed TWO pictures for the Embassy, but I opted for FOUR at £7.50. Reasonable I thought.

In a nutshell, our experience at the US Embassy in London was utterly painless. My fiancée came prepared and was approved with no hassle whatsoever. The interview itself consisted of a few mundane questions that seemed more like a casual conversation than an interview that would directly impact the rest of our lives. The interviewer asked for zero additional documentation; he just took her fingerprints, had her swear she was telling the truth, and sent her on her way with a promise that he would do everything he could to expedite the return of her passport so she could catch a flight back to the US in a few days.
Our circumstances were about as straightforward as they come, with plenty of documentation of a long-term relationship and absolutely no reason to deny the visa, so your experience may vary.

I attended the embassy, and was the first person in the line. I didnt have my phone with me at the time, but I did have a battery, which I had to get rid off. This delayed me a little while, and around 10 people had moved in front of me before I could re-do the security procedure.
I went through security, and showed letter to the secretary, who gave me a number, I was I902. I sat down in a rather big waiting area, been there before, and not much had changed apart from no picture of the president. People get different numbers and letters, mostley N's for non immigant, I's for immigrant and a few E's. Quite a few N's were called, and then the first I901, I was called a few minutes later to a different booth.
He didnt want all my evidence, I took too much. Only the most up-to-date tax return and w2s required. I had three years, and they were not needed. I also had tax transcripts. I used a sponsor and co-sponsor. I gave letters from employers for both, and p... read complete review
