I arrived at 7.30 for a 8.30 appointment time. There was a short queue, but it already began to move by the time I arrived.
I didn't have an appointment letter, only confirmation via email, and this raised an initial query with the first line security but they let me proceed.
An FYI - the no electrics into the embassy literally means no electrics! Even the fob on your car keys is a no-go. I couldn't believe the amount of people who feel foul of this. It must really frustrate the staff who work there.
Once inside, you go around to a reception who allocate you a number & then it's up into a big room which acts like Argos, as there are big screens showing the numbers and tannoy announcements when it's your turn.
This happened fairly quickly for me, and off to window one I went. Here I was greeted by a seemingly friendly lady, of far east origin. All started to turn sour however. First she chuntered to herself and went off in a huff when she didn't have my file.... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 8.00 am, got there a little after 7am and was the tenth in line. They started letting people in at just after 7.30. I went through the airport style check-point and into the embassy. Was issued I-903 ticket (3rd immigrant interview of the day). Sat down and tried to do a soduku but got way to distracted when they started calling out all the numbers. I was called up to the first window pretty quickly. It was a lady who was obviously in training as she had a supervisor so they were going through everything quite slowly. Birth certificate check plus copy, police certificate check plus copy, photos and the bit I was absolutely dreading the I-134. My finace not having any funds we could put on the I-134 had signed the form but left it blank where the salary and assets part was. We provided a letter of explanation of why he had not filed taxes and I had a whole bundle of my own financial information. They took a quick glance at the I-134 and when I tried to han... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for 8:30am but like many people in this forum I attempted to get to the Embassy as soon as possible and was queued up at 7am.

At 7:30am I went through security and received my number from the reception desk (I-901).

Once I got into the Embassy the screens were still booting up and the "counters" for the Embassy staff and Consular Officers were still closed. At around 8am numbers begun to be called out (about 7 N-numbers to every 1 I-number) and I was called up quite quickly.

I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who did take issue with my passport photos I submitted to the NVC (they were on a light grey background instead of a white background) but she used them anyway. Apart from that the first desk was relatively easy, she just ticked off the documents I had submitted and we chatted about her daughter's experience so far at university, so fairly relaxed. I was then given the pink courier form and told to si... read complete review

My appointment was at 8am so arrived at 7.40 a small line nothing major after getting through the various checks I checked in and got my number and sat down in the waiting area at 8.05am. After 90 minutes I was called up for the first part of the interview a miserable looking English lady asked for my appointment letter I made a little small talk then she was great even quite funny she took my passport and my new photos ticked off a list of what was meant to be there and told me to sit down and wait to be called again. 60 minutes later called again this time a large american guy he was superb very funny he asked a couple of questions about how we met and to swear all information given was true we then had a chat for 10 minutes about the area in England I\'m from then said all approved good luck arrange your courier delivery at the desk. I arranged the delivery with the onsite couriers and left in total lasting about 3 hours. What i was expecting to be difficult ended up being incredibl... read complete review

Appointment was at 9am, I got there at 8.15 and waiting 3 hours until my number was called. Was torture. But English Lady was very thorough with paperwork and explanation of of processes during and after POE. Question asked my American:
Where did you met?
What does he do?
What do you do?
VISA APPROVED!
