The longest wait, as everyone might confirm, is the line outside the Consulate. Once I got it, I submitted my passport and DS-260 and was instructed to go to the first floor and then make two lefts. I sat for about 3 minutes before being called. The visa officer was very pleasant and thanked me for making his life easy by having all my documents organized, etc. He got everything he needed and told me to take a seat. After about 5-10 minutes, I was called to another window and asked basic questions such as the name of the company, whether my company will be deducting my salary, and what I do on a day to day for the company. He was very polite and said he will approve but he needed to see to police certificate. I left the embassy but got my certificate in 2 days, sent it to the embassy on a Wednesday, and my visa was issued two days later.

Advice - answer honestly, be confident, and be polite/respectful.

Ps: some additional info. I got DQ'd August 12, got ... read complete review

Not a bad experience at all. DS-260 holders can go straight to the front of the queue as we're immigration. Through airport style security, ensure your phone is switched on, they'll ask you to open any app to ensure it's a real phone. If you have drinks, they'll ask you to take a sip before passing you through. Go through the extremely heavy doors, don't be afraid to ask for help, they are very heavy! Walk through the courtyard up to the reception centre. At this point you can go through the U.S citizen side of the queue, reception staff are friendly. You'll get your processing number stuck to the front of the DS-260. From the reception desk, it's up the elevator to the first floor. As you disembark the elevator, take a left and walk down to the end of the building and take a left again. Go past the 2 interview booths on the left and take a seat in the waiting area. Depending on the time, you won't wait long. Initially you'll get called up to the window to show your origina... read complete review

Went quite smoothly. Arrived half an hour before my interview, and as others have mentioned, skipped the super long queue and went straight to the entry desk. They scanned my DS-260 and passport and put me through the TSA-style security screening.

Afterwards there was the reception that gave me a ticket number and told me where to go. When I arrived there, I was very quickly called to a window for document check and biometrics and told to wait for the interview.

Wait was about 45 minutes and I was called to a window. Interview took maybe 3-5 minutes, questions asked where roughly "When did we meet", "Where are you staying in the US", "Who's your joint sponsor". Very straightforward.

They did have an issue finding one of my documents on their system and thought I didn't upload it, but when I said I did, they looked for it for 5 minutes, found it and told me that it's all good and I'm approved.
I got my civil documents back and told my ... read complete review
