Had my interview today and everything went well! Had my approval and it wasn't scary at all.
My appointment was at 9am and I arrived at 8.15am. Waited outside in the line for 25 mins, so I would advise that anyone attending plan to get in line early as it was quite slow. Was called to a booth at 9am and the lady there was very nice. She took all my papers and then I sat back down. An hour and 15 mins later I was called up again for a short interview with another lady. All very basic information asked. She did ask me if my husband was in the military or if he was living in the UK, neither of which are true. Wasn't sure if these were trick questions or if she was genuinely confused!! In total the interview was about 5 minutes long. She told me I was approved and then sent me to sort out the delivery of my passport with the courier service. I was out by 10.45am. Hope this helps!!!

Just got back home, so excited! I got approved!
Got to the embassy 7.25 with my fiancé, already about 20 people, but mostly non-immigrant as my number was 902. 901 was called at 8 on the dot, followed by tons of N's. i was called to window 1 at about 8.20. Chubby, asian lady was speaking quietly, loud fan to my left was not helping so i apologised for asking her to repeat and she was fine with that (but didn't speak up lol). Oh well, i promptly given her all documents and copies and and was given cd with xray and courier form. After about an hour was called to window 16 for an interview when i was greeted by very friendly african-american young lady, she made me swear i am being truthful and sign the ds-156k. Then got asked how me met, when, how our relationship evolved, did i meet his parents, did he meet mine, what he does for work and as i mentioned we travelled a lot during our relationship she asked where did we travel. After that, she advised everything is in order... read complete review

Arrived at 7am, first in line. Most other people there were for Non-Immigrant Visas.
Appointment was at 8.30 but was seen at 8.15 at first, about 10 minutes sorting out paperwork and making sure all was in order. Very friendly and relaxed.
45 minutes later was called to the main interview. Young smart looking american man who was very professional but friendly. Asked the expected questions and within 5 minutes he said he was pleased to approve the visa.
Waited 10 minutes in line to pay for the courier, £26 for the before 10am service. Was out of the embassy by 9.35
Come prepared and all will go well, no need to be nervous if you have everything in order and are telling the truth.

We had out Interview last week so I just thought I'd share a little about our experience ... btw we got APPROVED :D
My Daughter is immigrating to the US with me so she had to attend the interview, my son is not at this stage so he was not required to attend.
I guess before I start the most important thing is to make sure you have all the required documents and copies of each, they love it if your organised!
Get there early, we got there at 7.00am and our appointment was for 8.00am we were first in the queue but only just! They wheel out two little trolleys ... Start to form a queue at the one on the right as you face the Embassy.
Directions and instructions on where to go and what to do are really clear they do make it very simple for you.
Security checked that we had our appointment letter and MRV receipts. Then it was off through an airport style security check and round to reception where our allotted appoin... read complete review
