Had my London embassy appointment this morning.
The appointment was for 8:30 and I arrived at 7:45 after leaving my phone at Goulds pharmacy (3 pounds).
Once inside you are seen in the order you arrive in your category. There were E, I and N numbers. While I was there about 100 N numbers were processing, 10 I numbers and 6 E numbers.
I took a seat with I907 (7th I number in line). They first started calling numbers at 8am. In about 45 minutes they got to mine, I was called up to window 1 where there was a Asian origin british lady. The hall is loud and I struggled to hear a lot of what the lady behind the counter said. She processed the paperwork and took my interview sheet, passport and passport photos. She got a file from the back which had all my submitted information to NVC which she checked off against a checklist she had. She mentioned she thought I had travelled a lot for my age but quickly moved on. She gave a lot of our "ex... read complete review

Overall, a comfortable experience!
My appointment time was at 8pm, but chose to arrive at the London Embassy 30 minutes before. I'm glad I did, because the line was already pretty long! After the initial document check and security screening, I picked up ticket number and sat inside waiting for my number to be called.
It took about 20-25 minutes to be summoned to the first window, where an English lady asked for my passport and passport photos- NOTE: all the documents I had sent to NVC she had in front of her, so didn't need to provide any additional info. :-) She then asked me to wait again to be called up for interview.
Another 40 minutes went by before I was called up to second window, where a very pleasant American Lady asked questions about how my wife and I met, how are marriage developed, our ceremony and plans for the future. She then announced the visa was approved and explained about how my documents would be returned.
I paid the delivery... read complete review

My appointment was for 8.30am on 14th May. I got to embassy at just before 7am, which meant I was second in the queue, I recommend getting there early because just like many have said, the line builds up quick. They started admitting us at around 7.30am, and it all went really smooth. Keeping my smile on my face from beginning to end, I submitted the documents asked for and sat back down to await the actual interview. At around 8.45am I was called up and saw the african-american lady. She was friendly, respectful, and have to say had a sense of humour. She was great, and asked me probably only about 4 questions about my fiancee. But once I started talking about him, I probably gave her the answers to a dozen questions. I was nervous till actually getting into the embassy, and then I felt more confident. I knew our case is genuine and I went over my documents at least ten times before my visit. Oh, and she didn\'t ask for any evidence of relationship. Its a blur how she said I was appro... read complete review

I had my interview on 14th May, and was so happy to be approved. I arrived in London, with my sister for moral support, on the 13th and we booked into the Marble Arch Inn, it was very clean and the staff were all very helpful and polite. We took a walk to find the Embassy and to gauge the time it would take to get there, just over 10 minutes.
On Tuesday morning I got to the Embassy at 7.30, my interview time was officially 8.30, and joined a short queue. At 8 they started to allow people in to go through security and into the building. I had given my phone, key fob etc to my sister, so had no problems there. At the first desk, my number was attached to my appointment letter and I was number I905. I settled down for a wait. There were lots of students there needing visas for working with Camp America and there N numbers were called out in rapid succession. At 8.20 I was called to window 13. A very polite young man went through all the paperwork, asked for my hu... read complete review

The Reason I got an instant interview was because we've had help from my fiance's local congressman's office. They had helped us out since January and it was a miracle that I got my interview so quickly. My interview was first thing in the morning at 8am. Was about the 10th person to get into the lobby to wait. I was the first to be called up. The first person was very friendly and this made me feel less nervous. I handed her my passport and the documents needed for the interview. she gave me a sheet to fill in my address and I waited for about 30 mins and was called up again. The second person was friendly too and asked very simple questions about me, my fiance and our families. She then approved me and took my passport and paperwork but gave me back my original police certificate, birth certificate and all the photos we originally sent with the petition. I then went with the sheet to give to the people who arrange postage, it cost me £14-15. after i paid that i left the embassy. I w... read complete review
