It was a fairly easy day for Kevin. His biggest piece of advice is when they say no electronic devices they mean it, not key fobs, no headphones, nothing. He was nervous but he was in and out within a few hours and we were approved. YAY!!javascript:emoticon(' ')

I'm not usually one for writing reviews but i was frantically reading over ofher peoples before i went to my interview that i thought it only fair to write my own.
The interview process was very smooth and the staff at the embassy were nothing but professional and friendly people. I was asked a few general questions about our relationship; how we met, how it progressed, and had I met his family. As a lot of people say it all felt more like a chat than an interview, and provided you go with all your paperwork in order they really do only seem interested in hearing a bit about your relationahip and getting you to sign the oath.
The only stressful part of the experience for me was all the waiting - July must be a very popular time of year for visa applicants as I spent 4 hours in the very hot embassy ... read complete review

So I did and I was listening to the conversations of other people in the queue, some guys behind me were there for a Visa Waiver and they did nothing but complain about how they had to wait in a queue and how it was really unorganised- even though it wasn't. Some woman in uniform came down the queue asking to see specific things- she asked the guy infront of me for form DS-160, but when she came to me she glanced at my invitation envelope and only wanted to see the date and time on it to make sure I had the right day. "Yep today is the 24th, that's all ok then". You have to put your metal stuff in a plastic bag before you go in, men were taking off their belts and stuff. Before you go through security, you have to show your passport and invitation letter to a security guard and then he'll d... read complete review
