Pretty easy to be honest.
Long queue outside that isn't done by appointment time so bring suitable clothing but once inside was very quick, took about an hour with 2 short interviews. Didn't ask to see any proof and only asked a couple of questions. All in all nothing to worry about. However I had an 8am time, it was a lot busier by the time I left so if coming later in the day you may have to wait longer. You have to keep checking the big screen for your number, and a new one flashes up every few seconds so I recommend music or an audiobook over reading to pass the time!

My husband arrived at 7:45AM for his 8:00AM appointment. He lined up and his papers were checked by a guard outside. He then was shuffled through the airport type security line. Once inside he was given I913 (On Friday the 13th no less). He sat waiting in a long room line with chairs.
He was called about 45 mins later to window 13. A nice Brazilian looking man looked at all his documents. He advised my husband that he brought too much paper work (Umm yeah his wife sits on VJ all day and is an Executive Assistant to two executives in a major company of course he is over prepared!) So the gentleman tells him all looks well and to sit and wait again.
At about 11:00AM he is called back to Window 13. This time it is a american man. Turns out the man was from Utah which is where we live. They chatted about Utah and places my husband has seen here. He looked at my 2013 tax documents in my updated I-864, but didn't take them.
He was asked the ... read complete review

Jake emailed ahead of time to request that I be on the list to accompany him!
We arrived in London around 715, mosied around and landed in front of th embassy at 8:06 for our 9 am appointment. Outside there are three lines (or queues)--one for US Citizens on embassy business (avoid) and two queues for visas---the first queue is a sign in. They took our DS160, appointment letter, and passports. They checked my name on the list too and wrote me down on the appointment letter. Then you go all the way back to the end of the line of the second queue (took us until 830ish) for security. We got through security by 9:05--you can bring water and stuff and small electronics like kindles and iPads, though you won't use them!
We walked around by following easy signs and up a few stairs to reach reception. They looked at our passports, letter, and DS160 then placed a number on our letter. We walked into the waiting ar... read complete review

We were at the Embassy an hour ahead and joined a long, but well managed queue. We had to drop off at a local pharmacy, our small overnight case (Charge £5) as luggage can't be brought into the reception and waiting areas. Our interview letter was accepted at reception and a ticket number issued. Some 25 interviewers were in attendance. The first interview took place at 8.45am (our appointment was for 8.30am) and dealt with all paperwork and medical records. The process included the taking of all fingerprints and the handing over of an additional passport size photograph. On completion some documents including chest x-rays, were returned and passports taken. The second interview( with a different interviewer from the first) was completed by 9.50am during which we had to take the oath and have our fingerprints taken for a second time.
The questions posed at the second interview were:
(1) When did we plan to enter the US? (mandatory 6 month time limit from... read complete review

My Fiancé arrived very early to the consult where he was the only one in line. He was checked and directed to gentleman who asked him for birth certificate, police clearance and Affidavit of Support. He provided the paper work and returned back to his seat. Few minutes later, he was called for the initial interview with a nice lady who asked him few questions such us: where we met, have he ever traveled to the US, if I have any kids, Where we will be living in the States, and if he ever applied for any other type of Visa for USA? He answered all her questioned and even asked if she would like to see pictures of our engagement. She was very pleasant and commented " nice comment" on the pics. She told him that she recommend him for approval and he asked again so she said you are approved and you visa will be ready in 2 weeks for pick up . I checked the case status that same day and it said " Ready" updated on 06/09.I would say it's a long process but it's worth it. Be... read complete review
