Writing about spouse's interview, which took place on June 3, 2015. He arrived at just after 7am, as the letter we received said his interview was for 8:30am. There were about 20 other people there when he arrived. At about 7:30, security staff began sorting people into various queues. At this time, my husband was told to come back at 12:30pm. "They sent you an email about it," he was told. No, they did not - both my husband and I checked and neither one of us received an email about an interview time change. I was aware that it seemed most people were having their visa interviews at 12:30 but you're obviously going to turn up at the time indicated on your interview letter, aren't you?

This caused us a great deal of stress because while the security staff did say my husband was on the list of visitors for the day, they could not confirm for certain whether or not his interview was at 12:30pm. We were both worried that if he left, he would lose his appointment. A... read complete review

Very easy - arrived at 12:30 to the desk just outside and showed them my interview letter. Gave me an I number and went inside to wait. Went inside and waited till the number was called (the mostly called N numbers but then called some I numbers in between) My number was called and I went to a gentleman at the first window who asks for the papers. He told my fiance he was impressed by the organizational skills to where everything was separated out to each it's own folder for being able to pull each thing as needed. Everything was in order paperwise and he asked if I had ever had a visa before. Neil said he was not very pleasant but not hateful either.

Then went back and waited just a short time and then was called back to a nice american woman that asked me the following:

When we first met in person.
Asked about my children and that was pretty much it.

She laughed and had a bit of a joke about stuff and she said congratulations y... read complete review

My appointment was for 1pm so I arrived at 12.45 and went directly to the gazebo set up outside the security station where the ladies there checked my appointment letter and passport and crossed me off a list. I proceeded into the security station, where the gentleman in there asked me to place my bag and jacket into a plastic tray to go through the scanner, exactly the same as the airport. Once you exit the security station you head to your right and round a corner (everything is clearly signposted), up a short flight of steps and into a reception area. At the reception area my appointment letter was checked again and a series of barcode stickers (including a number like you get at the deli counter or the post office!) were affixed to it. I then went up a few more steps and into a large waiting hall.

The waiting hall has rows of seats, big screens at the front and a row of windows down the right hand side. The restrooms are just around the corner from the door tha... read complete review

My visa appointment was scheduled for 1pm but I arrived in London about 9.30 and headed straight there so I knew where to go later. A very nice security guard referred me to a local cafe where I had a nice breakfast and good strong coffee. I wandered up and down oxford street for a while then headed back to stand in the cold rain outside the consulate. This was around 11.15. I watched the queue build steadily until I estimated maybe 70-80 people. I wandered around the park until 12.15 then made my way towards the tented check in area. I hoped not to have to join the queue so approached from the front end. As I reached the tent I noticed a smaller queue of 3 or 4 people. This was for immigrant visas so I got in it The pleasant lady checked my appointment letter and passport and then gave me a plastic bag for watches and mobiles. I was then sent to security where they put my bags through a scanner. I was then directed around the building, up some steps and into a rece... read complete review
