No where near as bad as i thought it would be!

I went to the London US Embassy for my K1 interview, and I had all this evidence prepared, etc.

So, first you see this person sat on a desk outside with your passport and appointment letter, they'll check it and send you through security, which takes a second, you just pop your bags through the scanner, and you walk through the metal detector. I had an iPad in my bag and the security guy just asked so see it and then i was on my way!

So you walk round the building (follow the signs to the Visa section) till you get to the door and then you go to a receptionist desk where they give you a number, tell you to watch out for it on the screen, and point you to the waiting room.

So, find a seat and just wait. the room was packed when i went, so bring and book or magazine because I waited an hour or so till my number appeared. and i recommend reading the on screen instructions and getti... read complete review

The consulate was very nice in the interview, and there a few questions about my fiance and our relationship. Because of the mistake in the affidavit, it was require to submit another one. My case was put under administration process after that.

Thought it about time to write about my experience of the interview at the US London Embassy.

I'd been worried about this part for weeks, and the night before didn't sleep well at all. Especially after finding out I need a POA notarizing the same day somehow.

I got in to London ridiculously early as I decided to get an early train as it was set to the hottest day of the year - and didn't fancy the tube in 100 degree heat.

I met with the attorney notarizing my document about 10am and after that wandered round the surrounding streets and cafes until the interview.

I had been outside from about 11.30, though as many have stated, you are turned away and told to go back at 12.30. A few people had gathered about 12 noon and before I realised, a queue had formed of about 3-4 people. As it was so early I thought I'd hold back and join about 12.15 - my mistake. I jumped in about 12.20 and by that time the queue was 10 long - one group ... read complete review

My husband (intending immigrant, he is disabled with Cerebral Palsy and in a wheelchair) and I arrived at the US embassy a little after 11am, and waited outside until 12:30pm for his 1pm appointment. There was no tent set up but one girl at a podium, so we checked in with her. She looked over our passports and interview letter (only) and we were passed over to the security building where they did the same again. We went through the security hut and they had to swab his wheelchair for explosives. Once through we were handed over to another lady who operated the wheelchair lifts for us. We got our appointment number, i909. We waited in the big, warm room (with big loud fans) for about 30 minutes where we were called to window 13. The lady asked for our interview letter with tickets (given at the front desk) and his uk passport. She then asked for his uk birth certificate, our marriage certificate, and his police report. She then asked for copies of all those. Then, we waited a bit for he... read complete review

My interview was at 1pm
I got outside at 12 and was told i couldn't enter till 12.45 i ignored the guard and went back at half past and was allowed in
Waited for around an hour and a half then got hurried to a window to go through documents
she literally rushed me through and i couldn't understand half of it and got majorly stressed and flustered
but then sat and waited for another hour and a half for the interview which lasted all of five minutes
the woman was so lovely and made me feel so at ease and asked a couple of questions and done.
Expected within two weeks approved!
