Always find reading these helpful so thought I would submit my own, went on the 12/02.
Arrived at around 7am for an 8am appointment, there was maybe 15-20 already there. Queued up and supplied my documentation to the first set of people who signed me in. Security wasn't too bad just had to put my items in a tray to be scanned. Presented the letter, passport and DS-160 to the reception area, all done by 7:42. I was given a ticket of I904.
Took a seat in the waiting room and waited to get called to present documents, took about 30 minutes. Went to window 16 gave the interview letter and had finger and thumb prints taken. Passed over all the documents to a nice gentleman and was told to take a seat again this part took about 10 minutes.
Waited about another 30 minutes to be called back and was greeted by a different guy was just as friendly as the first didn't really get asked a lot her name, if any of us had been married where we met, when we ... read complete review

As other reviewers have stated the interview process was very smooth and painless. I arrived at 7:30 for a 8:00 appointment, about 15 minutes later than planned. I joined the long queue with my fiancee who had flown over for the week. Within a few minutes I had been asked whether I was for an immigrant visa and was moved to a much shorter queue and very rapidly passed through security. We discovered though that my fiancee wasn't allowed inside the embassy despite having her US passport on her. Had we called ahead and got her on an additional visitor list she would have been allowed in.
Once inside I got my number, I905, and sat in the waiting room. At 8:00 the numbers started appearing on the board, mostly Ns with a few Is, Ls and an E. After about fifteen minutes I901 was called followed quickly by I902 and I903. There was then a ten minute gap before 904 and my number were called. So it seemed there were three windows dealing with the initial paperwork handover and fin... read complete review

My appointment was in London at 8am and after following the reviews I
made sure I got there as early as possible. I got the underground to
Bond Street and it was just a 5 minute walk to the Embassy - very easy.
I got there about 6:50am and was already about 11th in the line. At
about 7:15ish the staff started organizing the tent that they were under
and the first stop where they check your interview details. They
arranged everyone into three lines - 8am, 8:30am and then 9 and started
with the 8am people first. I went in through security and around the
building and went up to reception where they printed out my ticket
number. I was I901 - which meant that I was first for the Immigrant
visas - wuhoo!
I went in and took a seat and started to get my paperwork ready to be
presented and noticed that my ticket had 7:36am on it, which was
obviously the time that I had entered. At abou... read complete review

At 7.30am Embassy staff arrived and identified what the queues were for. Then they came down the line and advised which line was correct for you. First check was to make sure you had DS160 authorization to be there. Everything was well organised. Security was clear remove all metal put it through the checker. Inside allocated number. At 8.00am booths opened and the screens started calling people to the booths 8.10am I was called to first meeting handed over required docs and then sat back for 50 mins. I was then called to the desk for my interview, three questions later leaving with Visa granted. All in all a smooth and friendly process. The waiting area is ok. All in all a quick process.

I've read lots of these so it's only right I share my experience today
I arrived at 7 and there were 15-20 in the queue already, about 7:30 a stream of staff came out of the embassy and began putting out tables and boards.
2 women then came down the line checking interview times and separating the later appointments into another line.
As I had seen advised I mentioned I was there for a K1 interview and was moved to another smaller line (I was the 2nd)
Next a man checked my interview letter and passport and ticked me off the list and sent me to security which is like any airport.
A short walk round the building, up some steps and into the embassy where they check the DS160 and give you your number, then into the main room to wait.
My appointment was at 8 and at 5 past my number popped up on the screen directing me to window 15 where a nice man took my paperwork ( he scanned the photo and gave it back to use fo... read complete review
