I actually arrived really early as my appointment was at 12:30. I arrived at 10:30 via Paddington i went to the tent at 10:50 after visiting Starbucks. They were really nice and they let me go in early. When I got in there were lots of non immigrant visa people and I was sat there for about 30 minutes before being called. They called me to the door where they took my original documents and my fingerprints. They said to wait about 30 minutes for my interview I think it was about 40 then I was called. I had a really nice lady interviewer Who put my mind at ease. She asked me how I met my fiance and what we did for jobs. She also asked me what our wedding plans are. then she said your visa is approved I was so surprised as it was so simple. I am relieved and happy 2 have this first hurdle completed. Overall it was so much easier than I thought but I felt like where's my medal??? Lol. I guess i'll feel more triumphant when i get my visa!!

My interview at the American Embassy in London was at midday on Friday 10th June and being particularly efficient with time management, I arrived at 11.40am. To make things a little easier to digest, I've put down a stage by stage account of what happened.
•Outside the huge American Embassy there is a white gazebo with a lady. There was no queue whatsoever. I gave her my passport and confirmation paper that I printed after my DS-160 was completed online.
•I then walked to the security hut at the front of the building. It was a typical security check that you'd expect at any international airport.
•I walked around the building and in through a door at the top of the steps. The receptionist again checked my passport and confirmation paper, gave me a number and pointed me towards the front of the huge waiting room.

Standard stuff as per most of the reviews! My interview was scheduled for 12:30, I arrived at the security tent at 11:45 and then let me go through right away. After the security hut proceeded through to the main building, got my sticker and wait to the waiting room.
After maybe 45 minutes got called for document check. First fingerprints, then, they asked for original certificates and 2 photos. They also wanted my courier confirmation letter. Didn't ask for any financial documents.
Sat down again, maybe another 45 mins passed before being called again. Went through, took the oath and proceeded. She asked how we met, asked about my daughter and then asked about my wife's moms job. Took about 3 minutes before she said congrats, you're approved - go call your wife!
Really easy procedure, very efficient.
