Arrived 1120hrs for 1200 K1 interview. Passed through security checks ok. Lots of people in the waiting area on arrival. Everybody polite, friendly and helpful. Given a no. and waited to be called. went to booth and showed a chap my passport, interview confirmation sheet, form 160, 2 photos, original Birth certificate, name change deed poll and police check certificates (in my case two as I lived for a year in Australia). I was asked when I intended travelling to the USA and said 'August' , to which I was told that was fine as a visa issued today would be valid until October. Fingerprint scans were taken, passport kept by them and passport photos returned to me. I then returned to the waiting area to await being called again with the same no. After about 30 mins I was called again but to a different booth where a pleasant American lady asked how we met, when did we meet, where was I going to be living, where does my fiancée work and what type of work does, she do, have we met in person, why hasn't she been here....then as quickly as the questions started they suddenly stopped and she said congratulations I'm going to approve your application today now go make that phone call. NOTE* There are about 18 booths, some of which are around the corner, when your no. Is called go straight to the booth do not join any queues like one lass did and missed her turn at the booth!
