As the lady before me wrote, I'm writing this review to help anyone who has an upcoming interview scheduled.
Steps:
1. Arrived just before 11am to the tent outside the embassay. i was number 10 i beleive. Instruction page and passport were taken, i was given a sticker and headed through the security. Phones ARE allowed.
2. after around 20 minutes my number was called on the screen. I spoke to a british guy who asked me for Passport, Birth and police certificate, 1 passport photo and the I-134 form with one supporting document ( we used letter of employement). I was then given back the passport photo and my chest Xray.
3. waited just over 40 minutes and was called to the interview.
4. American lady, really sweet, made my feel very comfortable. Asked me the following.
Where did we meet?
What do we have in common?
What my favorite sport was?
Great YOU'RE APPROVED!!

The main reason I'm writing this is because I was so nervous before my interview and the reviews on this website helped me out completely!!
I arrived at the embassy at 10:45 and was informed by the lady for a K1 appointment I'd have to come back at 11am, I was a little flustered but she was very kind and made me feel very relaxed. When I returned another woman checked my DS-160 and insurrection page along with my passport and gave me a sticker with a number on it that I was told to watch for on the screen (I worked out that I was the 4th K visa in line). After basic airport screening I was allowed into the waiting room where it's very much like the waiting area in an Argos, pretty informal with lots of people. Also, I read in some places that mobile phones aren't allowed in the embassy - BUT you actually can take your phone in (just not laptops or bigger electronic devices) and you can use it in the waiting room which is a good distraction!

I got to the embassy about an hour early and they let me straight in. Outside they ask for your appointment letter and your passport. You go through security that's similar to airport security then head right around the building and up the stairs. There's a desk as soon as you go in, where they'll ask you for your passport and appointment letter again and put stickers on it with the number you've to look out for on the screens.
The room you're in has a giant screen at the front with different visa information. It pings every time a new number comes up with the window number they've to go to. Windows 1-12 are next to the seating, windows 13+ are around the corner next to the door you came in. There are people there to help if you need it. There will be a big queue of people next to these windows, ignore them and go straight to your window.
Here they asked for my passport, birth certificate, police certificate, 1 passport photo which they scanned then gave... read complete review

I had my interview in London at midday today! I was an hour and twenty minutes early they said I could go in as it's first come first serve really! They take your passport and your letter inviting you to the interview at the building entrance write your visa type on the letter and tell you to go through security. That takes two seconds just like airport security! Please note you are allowed your phone! I'd read reviews where people say they got taken off you or you had to leave them somewhere this isn't the case! I was the first to arrive for a K1 visa that day. I got given a number and told to watch for the number on the big screen. It is a big room with a large screen lots of chairs facing the screen and bank like kiosks. You wait for your number to be called on the screen. They have lists of what paperwork you need in which order on a screen also. You go to your kiosk when your number comes up- note their are lines of people behind you when you go to the kiosks above 12. I had 13 an... read complete review

I was told to follow the signs to the correct building were I was then at the front reception and the lady asked which Visa I am applying for, they took my appointment letter and placed a ticket number on my letter, told me to sit at the front of the room and watch the screen until my number is called.

I was then given a DVD with my medical X-ray on, and told to sit back in the waiting area and wait for my number to be called aga... read complete review
