I wanted to write one of these because I found this site extremely helpful and calming. I was sooo nervous in the days before the interview but some of these reviews really helped to calm me! I'd read some horrid things about the interviews and embassy online, but I think most of them were outdated or for other visas. Turns out there was really no need to stress, it was a rather simple and pleasant experience! The staff at the embassy were so kind and friendly, and each step of the process is easy to understand.
My appointment for the K1 visa was at 12pm and I turned up just after 11am. I went straight to the tent outside on the east side; there was only one person in the queue and I was seen within a few minutes. The lady asked for my passport and the print out of the interview appointment. Security took 2 mins, they allow phones, small bags, food and drink. You enter the building on the north side, where a receptionist gave me a ticket number and sent me up som... read complete review

I had my interview today at 12 pm. I'd emailed beforehand to see if my husband and children could attend with me and they said this was fine . I had to email their names and relationship to me and was told to being their ID.
There was no queue outside so I went to the help desk and the lady checked our names were on the list and sent us to security. We were immediately approached by security who insisted relatives are not normally allowed inside and that the visa side was not the normal entrance for American citizens. I explained that I emailed and they went and checked with the help desk lady who showed their names (even though they were on his list). They seemed ok then and we went into security and had no issues.
Went into the embassy and received my number and then I was told to sit and wait. Took around 40 minutes to be called to the first window. It was a super nice lady who chatted to me and asked questions about Blackpool. She then asked for e... read complete review

My experience was very similar to that of others! I.e. straightforward and quick.
I arrived at 10.40am and there was no queue outside. I presented my appointment letter, passed through the security screening and went inside to receive my number (I903). I was called to present my documents after about 5 minutes of waiting in the waiting room. Some quick questions (have I been married before, have I ever changed my name, have I lived in any countries besides the UK) then fingerprints before I handed over my birth certificate, my police certificate, the I134 and one piece of supporting evidence (employer letter in my case). She didn't look very carefully at these! Just a quick scan then she told me to take a seat and wait to be called to interview.
After about 30 minutes I was called to counter 13 for the interview, which consisted of these questions:
- When did you meet your fiancé?
- Did you start dating straightaway?
- Have you liv... read complete review
