My interview was at 12:00 on a Friday and the entire process was very quick and efficient. There was a short queue outside to get through security which took about 5 minutes, before I was directed to the waiting area. All the staff were very friendly and polite and after taking a seat for 15 minutes my number came up and I was called to the first window to have my documents checked. This process lasted around ten minutes including a brief trip around the corner to the cashier to make payment. I took a seat again for another 15-20 minutes before being called up to the second window for the actual interview. The interview itself only lasted 4-5 minutes with a few quick questions about my relationship with my wife and where we would be living in the United States. It felt more like a friendly chat then an interview. I left thoroughly impressed with how helpful and polite everyone had been. The restroom was also very clean and tidy. Nothing but good things to say from me!

My fiancé did his interview on the 9th of May, he said the waiting took longer than the actual interview. He said the people were friendly. The interviewer was straight to the point with his questions with no rudeness intended.

I arrived at the embassy approximately an hour early and headed straight for the little visa pavilion outside but was politely asked if I could come back 15 minutes before my appointment time. Oxford Street is only a few minutes walk away so I wandered around some of the shops for a little while before returning to the embassy. The man I had spoken to earlier had since been replaced by a very pleasant lady who asked to see my passport and appointment letter (I'd printed off the email confirmation). After she crossed my name off her list, she directed me towards the security booth nearby.

The door of the security booth was locked so I pressed the button to presumably buzz the people inside, after which a lady eventually opened the door for me and asked to see my passport and appointment letter again. I then placed my bag, phone and belt onto the conveyor belt to be scanned but was allowed to keep my hoodie and shoes on. They also let me bring in the bottle of water I had... read complete review

Very efficient admission into embassy. Very few other people waiting on this day - building nearly felt empty. Approximately 25-minute wait for interview and then 3-5 minute interview. Consular official was very pleasant, kind, respectful to my partner during interview.

We were pleased to find that they admit partners with no former notification as long as they have a photo ID, so I was able to enter the embassy with my fiancee. Also pleased to find they allow food in, as we were halfway through a picnic lunch when it was time to go to the embassy! Overall a very fast, efficient interview process.

The Visa Interview was a not the scary experience I had been expecting. The consulate staff were all welcoming and friendly, whilst being very professional. On arrival, you are given a number and you then take a seat in the waiting area, until your number is called to go to a member of staff at one of the desks/windows. The interview has two parts, the first being a document check, which takes around 5 to 10 minutes. You then seat back down in the waiting area until your number is called again for your interview. At the interview window, the member of staff has all of your paperwork from your initial application through to the current. The interview did not take long and was mainly confirming who my fiance was, where she lived and our wedding plans. It felt more like a chat with a friend than an interview. Following the brief chat, the lady I saw, smiled and said "I am happy to tell you that your Visa has been approved." I was then advised that it would take up to 17 days for my passpo... read complete review
