I was so nervous about this as I am only 21 and have only been with my fiancé for 8 months. He is a US marine.
Everyone was nice and friendly at the embassy.
This nice foreign (maybe Russian) chap took my passport, affidavit of support, birth certificate (and translation as I was born in France) and police certificate and pictures and handed me back a CD of my lungs.
All good.
I then waited 2 hours (tedious) to be called up to the only open booth. There was two gentleman (one was in training) these are the questions asked -
- who is it you're wanting to marry?
- how did you meet?
- what does he do?
- how do you stay in contact?
- you've been to America a lot, have you ever over stayed? (I hadn't, ever)
- why did you apply for a B2 beforehand?
- what specifically does he do as a Marine, his squadron?
- what's your plans when you get there?
- so you said you use..... read complete review

Pretty efficient if somewhat time consuming. Easy to get a suitable time slot. We had way more paperwork than was actually required in the end. The interview was short and casual -- how did you meet, how long have you been together, what are your plans once in the states, etc. Painless really!

Had my K1 visa interview yesterday at the London embassy.
I was more nervous about the document part of the interview simply down to me having a co-sponsor and what to bring, but i was faced with a very nice/happy young lady who in all honestly didn't ask for nearly as much as the i-134 supporting evidence as i thought. My co-sponsor's tax return and copy of US passport (he was born in Columbia), along with form i-134 was enough evidence for her.
The next part when i had my actual 'interview' was the easiest part. I almost felt like i had been approved within the first 10 seconds. i was stood at the window talking to the American man for about 90 seconds. What an anti-climax!
PLEASE NOTE:
The people at the embassy said the "systems were down" and the interview part after the document hand-in was going to be another 2 hour wait. they told us we could leave, get some lunch, and come back. I decided to stay and wait. Although ... read complete review

Interview process was easy and painless. I was at the embassy for around 1.5hrs and had two interviews in that time. The first involved document collection and the second a few questions about my relationship with my fiancée. The questions in the second interview were very straightforward and I was approved after around two minutes.

So today I had my embassy interview at 10.30am. It was sooooo busy in general especially for tourist visas.
I showed my confirmation and passport and they pointed me to a separate queue. Waited there outside the security booth where they admitted 4 people at a time. Quick little bag scan all pretty painless.
Walked around the building to the entrance where I handed my confirmation and passport again and they stuck a load of stickers with my number.
Walked into the hall and took a seat and waited to be called up. Had a huge panic as I hadn't printed out my DS 260 confirmation but found the email in hope that would suffice. Within around 20 mins I was called up. The guy was so lovely and told me it didn't matter the more important document was my courier info. Took my passport, my birth certificate and copy, marriage certificate and copy, husbands last tax return, and my joint sponsor as he wasn't sure the officer would be satisfied with my co... read complete review
