My interview was scheduled at 9.30AM. When I arrived at around 9AM, there was no queue at the security gate (i guess most people scheduled for early morning appointments were already inside) so the security guard just directed me straight up to the intake window. There, the lady asked for my passport and my appointment confirmation print-out. After handing them over, she checked that I was indeed on the list for the day, returned my passport back to me and buzzed me in. Once inside, I was asked to leave my purse including other loose items in my pockets such as mobile phone and car keys. I was then asked to pass through a body detector and was patted down on the other side. It was a less busy day at the embassy.

For Immigrant visas typically 20 groups/individuals are booked on one day. The documents submitting etc tends to take time. For instance i was number 15 on the day and it took 2hours 10 mins for my turn as there were some groups of 2 to 4 people before me and each persons' docs are collected and finger printing done.

I was last person in the embassy at about 11 when my turn came. Got asked a lot of questions:

Prev marriage, details on meeting husband, 1st meeting, second meeting, all other loads of meetings. On his occupation, his kids school name (bad shortterm memory didnt remember) their grades, wedding pictures, details of my and his prev marriage, my education, details of my education etc etc.

All okay in the end. Told ppt will arrive in 5 days.

😍

Edited to add the second day my courier arrived at Empost with my visa stamped and sealed pack... read complete review
