The interview went great! After a brief scare with my tax return, he was called up. The lady Ramazan interviewed with was very nice; he said they laughed most of the time. She asked the typical 'How did you meet, how do you communicate, etc.' questions, looked at our emails and msn conversations, then looked at our pictures. He then asked her in english "Will I go to USA?"...and she smiled and said "You will go to USA". :D Whewwwww

We arrived at Embassy and after showing our appt letter we were let in. After the security checks a young Iranian gentleman looked at our letter and asked my wife if she wanted her interview to be conducted in Farsi or in English. Our choice was Farsi and after a couple of hours our name was called. The interviewer was an Asian Lady that spoke beatiful Farsi.I stood back and sat down and waited to go to the window if I am needed. At the Embassy everybody is sitting in a big hall and people go to the windows to have their interview. Most of the time you can hear other people's interviews being conducted.
My wife was asked :
How did you meet your husband? We had met online so she told her and then she asked for the website's name and our screen names on that website.
How long have you known your husband ?
Where do you live in Iran? With your parents?
She asked more questions that I must add later as I recall them. Then she asked for my tax returns and my wif... read complete review

We arrived at the Ankara embassey about two hours before our appointment time and had to wait outside. When it was time they called us in where we had to take a number and wait till our turn was called. When that time came Ahmet went up to the lady and she proceeded with the interview. He was able to have an interperter which was good. Later they let me come up and just ask a few basic questions about how we met, nothing like what I was expecting. The interviewer was very pleasent and had a good time looking at our photos we brought along. She then granted him his visa, told us it would arrive in a few days via UPS. That was it. A very good experience, we were so relieved and he is finally home

My husband and I arrived a few days prior to his interview so that we could take care of his medical exam. We were concerned that it might take more than 1 day to get the results back, but we had everything in hand after a few hours (and thus had a lot of time to kill in Ankara -- ugh!).

The day of our interview, we arrived at the Embassy and waited outside ofor ~10 minutes before the guard let us in. He checked my bag and asked us a few questions, then we walked over to the door. A woman immediately came up to us and asked us for more photographs (!) which was NOT part of their I-130 checklist. We panicked, but fortunately my husband had some extra photos with him. Definitely bring extras just in case. She took our information and then we went inside to wait. Apparently, at this point they should call your name and you go up to pay the fee. This didn't happen for us. The next time we were called was for the interview.

The woman who interviewed us told me... read complete review

Review Topic: Direct Consular Filing

These guys worked so quickly with us! They received our documents on the 25th of July and we heard back from them on the 11th of August with an appointment date scheduled for the 20th of August!!!! I don't know if it was because we had everything in perfect order or what, but it was quick.

When we got to the embassy things went smoothly. The woman at the window was very effective and did her job well. She wasn't rude, just a little scary at times (officers are giving visas, NOT KISSES!).

My only complaint would be that there was not enough seating and waiting outside of the gate was quite disorganized, otherwise things went well. As long as you can prove your relationship and you have all your ducks in a row you'll do just fine!
