Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance arrived around 7:30. He was the first in and had his interview right away. He was interviewed in English by a female and she asked ordinary and not-so-ordinary questions. Examples:

When did you meet?
How did you meet?
When did he meet my daughter?
How is his relationship with her?
Why does he want to marry me?
Why was he living in Texas last year?
Why do we want to live in Oklahoma?
Does he plan to work?
How and when does he call me?
Have I ever been to Turkey to see him?

He said everyone was very nice and polite. At the end, he was asked to bring a police certificate from when he was living in Austria and as soon as they received it, they would mail his passport and visa.

Interview- get prepared with all documents in hand, they ask a lot of questions. They will speak to you in English, even though you can ask for a turkish translator.
after 3 month and 3 weeks in AP my husband finally received his visa. Ankara was ok answering all my email inquires.

Appointment was at 8:30am.
We arrived 7:55am in line of about 10 people.
Around 8:15am, they collected passports.
Around 8:30am, they let people go into the Embassy, but they didn't let petitioner in.
They required passport-style photos. They asked a few questions with regard to a previous denied student visa application. The interview took less than 5 minutes.
They really liked a timeline we had made using TimeGlider (http://timeglider.com/) that we had turned into a PDF file and sent to them as part of Package 3 for them to assign the interview date. I really recommend using that timeline. They said the visa and passport will come in the mail in a couple days. We'll see. Thanks all for providing your information.

Review Topic: General Review

Alperen was the fifth one to go inside. He was the very last person to leave so it doesn't matter how early you get there. An officer took his paperwork at the very beginning. He was told to sit and wait. He waited 5 hours for his turn. The interviewer was nice and smiling. He asked 7-8 questions. They are the exact same questions that are in the guides here. He asked "when did you meet, how did you meet, when did we decide to get married, when did he propose, what he likes about me, etc". One question was different he asked if it was hard for me to visit him when I was married. Alperen told I was already separated and living away from my ex at that time. The interview took about 5 minutes. Officer said he was approved and to go to ups and give his address. Visa came 3 days later

She arrived in front of the Embassy @ 7:30am. They admitted her @ 8:30am. Took her passport, medical report, visa fee receipt, and photos. She requested to have the interview in turkish. She waited till 11:15 for her interview. Consulor officer greeted her in turkish. Interviewed her in turkish. Consulor officer asked for bank records and latest phone records. He asked her 2 questions. How did we meet initialy? Why does she want to marry me? After her answers: congratulations, welcome to the united states. Please go to the UPS windows to arrange for shipment of your passport. That's it, no rudeness, no forcing her to speak english, very brief. Now we get to start our lives together.

There is a lot of misinformation going around about this embassy/consulate. Provide an email address when you apply for K1. Update your email address if you need with NVC after NOA2 b4 they send out your package to Ankara. As far as I know, ankara only communicates via email. ... read complete review
