Was very straight forward and surprisingly short. Upon arrival they asked for most but not all of the documents I prepared (proof of relationship, medical report, birth certificate, police records, etc) then had me wait in a waiting room with many people. After waiting for around an hour they called me in to get fingerprinted, then called again for the interview. They asked very general questions about our relationship, they informed me my visa was approved and to expect my visa by post.

As everyone has mentioned in their posts, no need to get there early. You are allowed in at your appointment time. Once in, I waited about 30 minutes. The lady who interviewed me was super nice. However, she did ask a lot of questions. All of which I answered happily, and everything went by really fast! Great experience overall. Can't wait to get my passport in the mail!

My husband started out with an American interviewer who asked if he would like to do his interview in Turkish. When the Turkish women came she asked him lots of questions. She looked at all the proof and pictures then gave him an orange card and asked for a copy of my passport showing the Turkish visa and enter/exit stamps. Neither women took his fingerprints so he had to go back to do this 3 days later. Visa was issued 1 week after interview.

We stayed at Best Western hotel, it was about a 4 minute walk to the embassy from there. My husband was inside for only about 3 hours. The greeter took his documents, he got his fingerprints taken and then they asked him about 5 or 6 questions. They asked when and where did we meet, how did his family feel about our marriage, what did we do after the wedding and what will we do in America. After it was over, they told him he can pick up his visa in about a week.
