Everything from getting line in front of the embassy to waiting room was very easy and smooth. After I sat down in the waiting room it took almost 30 min for first call. That first call the CO asked me to hand them my medical result and proof of relationship, and even though i said english for interview first call was Turkish. I went back my chair afterwards and waited for 30 min for second call which is just for finger prints and waited around 45 min for the real interview. I felt so lucky when i see the CO because i guess she was the nicest person in that entire embassy.
Interview questions were;
How did you two meet ?
When did fiancee graduate from university ?
Did you graduate from the same university?
What are doing in Turkey? working or student or etc ?
Did you meet her family ?
What are planning to do when you get the USA ?
After all that smooth and correct answers she stood up and told me that sh... read complete review

My interview time was at 8,40AM of December 2013. I was at the outside of embassy around 8,15AM and there was a waiting line there with like around 7-8 people waiting. Had a security check. They dont allow you bring electronic devices inside including cell phones. After security check, I was directed to the waiting room of the embassy. Got a number there and chose english for the interview and sat down and started to wait for my number. After about 25-30 minutes, my number was on. I went to the window there and they have my fingerprints. That took one minute. Then it was the wait time again. There was like 50 people or more inside the waiting room waiting for their visa interviewee. I waited about 2 hours and it was my number on again. The interviewer was a very nice gentleman. He first had me swear by holding up my right hand. Then he asked these questions ; ''When and how did you meet, Did she come here, did you meet her parents, did she meet your parents, what will you do in usa, ho... read complete review

My now-husband had his interview back in July, but I'm just now getting to a review (apologies!)
Hasan got to the Consulate about an hour early. Lucky for him he has family that live near Ankara (he is from Istanbul) so transportation and lodging were not a problem. He left his phone with his cousin as electronic devices of any kind are not allowed (be mindful of this! They can turn you away if you have a cell phone, tablet, etc.)
They let him in, he went through security, and waited about an hour and a half for his interview. Upon being called, the woman asked if he would like to do the interview in Turkish or English. Hasan chose Turkish (it is his native language, so he felt most comfortable) but the woman proceeded to speak in English anyways, which was fine. She asked pretty straight-forward questions about how we met, how his family felt about me, how we got engaged, had I ever visited him in Turkey, etc.) Everything went very smoothly and the ... read complete review

We got to the embassy a few minutes before his "interview" time at 7:30 (really it's just the time the guard intakes everyone scheduled to arrive at that time and process them at the entry gate). There was a queue of about 20 people already and it took about fifteen minutes between checking documents and during a security check before Ahmet was officially inside the embassy. Ankara is heavily secured and I, as the spouse wasn't able to go in. You also cannot take any phones or electronic devices, so be mindful of that. My husband said he was first asked which language he wanted to do the interview in, and he opted for Turkish. However, at the beginning of the interview the interviewee asked if he spoke English and they switched to that (lol). After waiting around 4 hours, the actual interview was a few minutes. He said everything was smooth. For us, we needed to send a few more documents before getting our visa, but they processed us quickly. I had a family friend to wait with while my... read complete review
