Our original interview day was For sept. 4, 2014... due to them not entering our case into the computer, we had to wait for them to find our case and put it into the system. The embassy was supposed to contact us for a second interview, but they were not contacting us, so we had to have the Senator's office and go to the embassy directly. We got our second interview for Oct 2, 2014.

My husband arrived to the interview early and was checked in and went through security, then waited to be called once he was inside the embassy. He was called first to the window. A man asked for his passport, medical exam, police certificate, NEW birth certificate and three photos. Then he was asked to sit down to wait the interviewer. A female interviewer called him to another window and asked him to put his hands on a scanner for his finger prints. Then she made him say an oath, to say he was telling the truth. Then the questions started...

1. what is your wife's name?
2. where did you meet your wife?
3. When did you meet your wife?
5. What did you do for a living?
6. where does your wife live?
7. Does your wife have children?
8. What are the children's names?
9. Where did your wife work before?
10. Where does your wife work now?
11. How much time did you spend together?
12. Was that the only time your wife visited you?
13. What is your wife's mother's job?
14. Was your wife married before?
15. When and where was the wedding and honey moon (asked for pictures)
16. How much do you communicate with your wife? ( and asked for proof skype and phone)
17. What language do you speak with your wife? ( but didnt ask fully because my husband's english is very good )
18. What is your wife's address?
19. Was your wife married before?
20. What do you do for a living and your job history?
21. What do you like about your wife?
22. How often do you talk in skype and how long?
( this was the questions he could remember)

then he was done and the interviewer asked for taxes from 2011, 2012, 2013. He had 2013 but he needed the other years. So she gave him a white paper called G221 and wrote on it he needed copies of the taxes of 2011 and 2012 and she told him to come back on any working day between 1-2 pm with the copies and gave him back his passport. My husband called me, so I scanned him the documents with the G221 paper and gave everything back to the consular with his passport and they told him to wait. It took 20 minutes for interviewer to review the taxes. The consular officer gave him a piece of pink paper and told him to come back on wendesday to pick up his passport. The consular told him he was approved.

The interview process itslf wasnt bad but the embassy not processing our paper work right and messing up our interview day and making us wait was the worst.

Fast and helpful! Once the case was received by the embassy, the entire process took less than a month! We were a little confused by the new process (change from DS-156 etc to DS-160). But emailing and calling the embassy really helped. They told us what forms we needed and everything. Thank you for bringing my fiance and i together!javascript:emoticon('')
