I already wrote every detail in a post in the MENA area but I just wanted to say this embassy was the best. The consular was such a friendly woman who made the experience so wonderful for my husband. He did not find any problems with her, she was laughing and joking the entire time and Hamdouallah he took his visa two days after the interview was complete. They really are super nice and will answer emails very quickly or talk to you on the phone in detail if you have any problems! She's really superb at her job!!!

My fiance said the embassy in Tunis was great to work with. Everyone was friendly and cordial. He had a great experience with the consulate. They didn't even ask for the I-134 support evidence. The interview went smoothly and was a very pleasant experience. The consulate even joked with him about how cold his future home of North Dakota is. The visa was issued the next day. He even forgot to bring the DS-200 and the embassy allowed him time to go get it.
It did take a long time from NVC until packet 3 was sent, but it was over the holidays, so that's probably why. Tunisia has 27 official state holidays, more than any other country in the world... and the embassy observes them all plus US holidays. When do these people work? It can be hard to contact the consulate, as their office is only open from 2-4pm Monday-Friday. Overall, a very good experience

The people here are the best! They are so nice and helpful - they really helped to take any fears away from this whole process and make it bearable. They were always willing to lend a helping hand and almost became like friends to us!

My fiance didnt have too bad of an experience, because i called and ask for the head of the consulate to ask her help to ensure he had all the correct forms.
I asked that if he needed help please help him and they did. My worst mistake was hiring a so called immigration lawyer. I tell all who are starting out dont pay a lawyer your money if immigration wants to deny you they can and a lawyer cant help you. The lawyers will lie to you and make empty promise that they cant fulfil. I give the consulate in Tunisia for our case a thumb's up.
