Hi everyone- My husband had his interview Oct. 31 2011 the interviewer asked for skype records and pictures, the only thing missing from our packet was a marriage paper my husband ran and got it back to them within 2 hrs from his interview. The interviewer said that he had everything he needed and for my husband to come back that Thursday. When he came back they acted like they didn't know why he was there, in the end they told him he would be contacted by email. My husband received nothing from them so he emailed them asking about his case. He got a reply saying there was no record of his passport number or application. I called the embassy to ask about this and he say no we have everything. Your husband's case is on the consular's desk and is in administrative review. When I called the dept of state the lady told me don't worry your husband is approved is just a matter of time. I called the embassy and they told me they need to be sure of our relationship, I understand this but we ga... read complete review

The initial interview was scheduled for 15 August 2011 at 11:00. My husband was the 1st to be called back. He stated that after being called back the interviewer told him that his original birth certificate and marriage certificate were missing along with the translated copies and that the system was down so he would need to return on Friday with those documents. I verified with the NVC that those documents were indeed in the packet that was sent to Tunisia, but to be safe he did obtain them again.
2nd Interview on Friday, 19 August 2011 went smoothly and my husband stated that he was only asked a few questions then was given a receipt and told to return in two weeks on a Wednesday where his visa would be ready to pick up.
All in all, I would say the experience wasn't bad, just a pain to have to go and get translations of documents again, but I just feel blessed that within a few short weeks I will finally have my husband in my arms forever.

Everyone at the Embassy was very polite and helpful. It did take sometime for our petition to actually reach the embassy even though it arrived 3 weeks before in Tunisia. Once the embassy recieved the paperwork they were very helpful. They sent us packet 3 by e-mail and asked for only 1 form to be filled out and they would schedule the interview. Once the form was submitted we were given an interview date within 5 days. Our interview took place only 9 days after submitted requested form. Everything moved very quickly when the paperwork was recived by them.

Embassy staff were wonderful to us through the entire process. Answered our many questions quickly and professionally each time. Both Tunisian and American staff were very kind and supportive. Interview conducted in English and French at our scheduled time.

Interviewer made my husband feel very comfortable and confident. Asked a few questions and looked through our information then asked my husband to come back the next day to bring a translated copy of the B3 then the following day his visa would be ready.
