My visa journey started from pretty much February of this year. My husband and I got married in Korea on paper in February so that we can start working on getting my spousal visa for the U.S. Here's the whole timeline for my visa journey:
1. We got appointment for the petition 1-130 on May 3, 2016.
2. Got the petition approval mail on June 17, 2016
3. Had our wedding ceremony on July 9, 2016 in Korea.
4. Packet 3 email received on July 21, 2016
5. Medical exam done on October 5, 2016
6. We got the visa interview appointment on November 17, 2016, and it was approved on the interview day.
7. Got my passport mailed to me the next day on November 18, 2016!!

Great experience. Even with them opening the counters up an hour late we were in at 9am and out by 11am.

The Seoul Embassy made it very easy for us to get approved. If you have all of your papers in order, they will get you in and out on interview day within two hours. The visa in passport arrived at our door the next day. Very quick and painless.

I had my interview in Seoul US EMBASSY last January 2016
My interview time was 8 am and I got there at 7:30. Before you enter the embassy they will ask you to leave all the electronics at the gate and they will give you a claim stub that you have to surrender once your business is done inside the embassy to get all your electronics back. Everything went smooth and everything is really fast and efficient.
First they will review the documents you brought and the Korean lady will give back any unnecessary documents that they don't need. After that they ask you to get seated and wait for your next interview. Everything went well Except for the African American lady who came in with her fiancé that took so much time dealing with the consul. The consul already said that they need some more documents but the lady is insisting the documents that she has and wanted the approval right away. That day only two windows are open so it's kind of delay for me cause I was next in line... read complete review

The process was easy, just needed a different background check we didn't know about. After receiving it everything went fine.
