Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My interview was at 9:15am and I arrived very early as I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find the place (albeit Singapore is a very small island). I lingered outside the embassy for a little while and only entered the embassy at 8:45am

I climbed the short hill and saw a nice indian security guard and she asked if I was here for Immigrant or Non-immigrant. I told her I was here for Immigrant Visa and she told me to queue behind 2 caucasian men right outside the security office. (All reviews were right, it is under the bright hot sun) I looked around and turned behind, saw a ton of people queuing and wondered if I cut some kind of line. (I didn't care much at this point as I was a nervous wreck)

The caucasian went in turn by turn when another security officer yelled "Next!". When it was my turn, I was told to place all my belongings on the conveyor belt for scanning. Walked through the metal detector all okay, another security guy checked my belongings... T... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

It was an easy interview. I was the first one to be interviewed at 0845. The interviewer only asked me three easy questions. After that I was done. I gave all my documents and they only asked me to submit one document. Marriage Certificate saying "No Record Found." After that, CEAC status changed from AP to Issued.

Review Topic: Direct Consular Filing

My wife had her interview scheduled for the 28th may. We are filing for both her and my two sons. Anticipating a riot in the embassy if it was just her and them, I emailed the embassy and asked whether it's ok that my mother in law comes along. They said it was not necessary, but, since my children are less than 14 years old (the older one is 3), there is no need for them to come for the interview. She happily came by, and the first thing the interviewer asks is: where are your kids?

My wife (shocked) shows the man the email we got, and the interviewer just said that he needs to see the kids in order to process them... They scheduled an additional interview for next Friday (6th June), but this was just irritating! One hand doesn't know what the other's doing.

Next, he goes over my wife's documents and tells her that we'll need a criminal record from EVERY COUNTRY that she's ever resided in (so, in addition to Singapore, Israel and Australia). Now we must... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview was scheduled for 8:45am on April 22nd 2014 at the U.S Embassy Singapore.
I was probably overly nervous for the interview, having read many horror stories and bad experiences from people going for K1 visa interviews at other consulates.

The whole interview process was truly underwhelming!
I expected to be asked a whole host of questions, my mind was abuzz with answers I thought I would have to give.

I arrived at the embassy at 8:30am, walked up the slope to the entrance and a security officer asked me if I was here for an immigrant visa or a non-immigrant visa. So I said immigrant visa and was directed towards the entrance of the embassy. I looked toward the people queuing for a non-immigrant visa and there were over 15 people sitting in a shade, waiting to be called. At that point, I was quietly glad that I had an appointment

However, I didn't expect to have to queue to be allowed entry int... read complete review

APPROVED !!!!! This was a good experience. My fiance had her interview on 23 April 2014. Her total interview time was approx 20 min. She was only there about 1 1/2 hours. Some of the questions they asked are as follows:
1) whats you fiance's name?
2) Whats his occupation?
3) Do you know his salary?
4) How many kids he have?
5) When did you first meet?
6) Where did you meet in person?

They asked for proof of relationship which they said I had plenty. They also asked for my fiance divorce papers. Other than that it went pretty fast and the interviewers were very nice and friendly.
