Three officers conducted interviews (one man and two women).
Anna said that the gentleman who conducted interviews was very friendly and polite to all. Always smiling and would come out from behind the interview window every now and then to stop and say hello to the fiancées as they waited and would offer them encouragement.
Anna was interviewed by one of the women whom Anna described as very serious and business like, but still very polite.
Anna’s interview lasted less than 10 minutes and was conducted in English. She was asked only one question: Tell me some general things about your fiancé. Anna said she spoke for approximately 5 minutes about where I was born, my family, where I live and work, qualities she loves most about me, etc. The woman then told her congratulations.
Anna said the only thing they took as evidence of our relationship was one picture and never looked at or asked for anything else.

Galina said the interview was a breeze. First I told her that I read that it was better to speak English. The interviewer began to speak in Russian but she told him that she would prefer to do this in English. He was very happy to hear this and they did the whole thing in English which I think won some brownie points. Although Galina did say that they take the money before she had even seen the interviewer. So she thinks they have made the decision already before they arrive. Most all of the questions were personal.
1. How many times has he visited Russia?
2. How many times has your fiance met your son?
3. Do you know about previous marriage?
4. What is the company that your fiance works for?
5. What does he do for work?
Of course there were a few more but it seems that it was mostly about the relationship not so much about any of the documents. As it's said many times in these forums, proof of realtionship is key. Good luck t... read complete review

There were 10 women arriving at 8:00 am. Irina said that people were arriving once every half-hour for visa interviews. The entire process took about 2 hours. Irina said that every woman passed their interviews.

Easy! My wife speaks some English, and agreed to have the interview conducted in English. It was over in less than 10 minutes. Her comment: "Officer was serious person; and recognized immediately that I was serious person; and so, no problem."
I had all the paperwork, documents, translations, photographs, etc. indexed with crosstabs, just in case.
