He had his interview on 05/26/08. Waited four hours at the Embassy to have his interview. He stated that the gentleman who interviewed him was very courteous. He was asked to submit the affidavit of support as well as my 2008 tax returns. I included a 1099 and my w2 with the affidavit. My income was sufficient and they did not ask for further supporting evidence such as check stubs, bank statements or a letter from an employer. He was also asked to submit some evidence that we were still in touch after the petition was approved (In this case a few e-mails and 3 months of phone bills were sufficient) He was not asked for pictures, visa stamps, airline stubs etc (But i sent it just in case). He was asked why he did visit the USA again on a visitors visa after I applied. My man simply told him that we didn't want to risk applying and getting denied. He was told by the officer that they are A LOT LESS SCRUPULOUS now when it comes to Russians obtaining a visitors visa, so THERE i... read complete review

The interview was relatively easy, even though we did prepare for it intensively. My SO went in at 8:30am and had to wait about an hour. The interview took no more than 10 minutes. They spent about 15 minutes looking through her documents before calling her in for the interview (she could see that, since she was close to the interview window). The questions were relatively simple.
1. Where and when did you meet your fiance (we met in a different country)
2. Why did you go to that country?
3. Do you speak English? (A: Very little)
4. Does he speak Russian? (A: Not at all)
5. Which language do you speak with each other (A: A third language)
6. Do you mean English? (A: No, a third language)
7. Wow, you speak another language! (Interviewer looked genuinely surprised)
8. Did he ever come to Russia?
9. When?
10.She offered to show the interviewer our pictures
11.Interviewer looked through couple of the pictures and ... read complete review

April 21 interview. She said she was in and out by 11 a.m. Maybe 10 minutes total interview time. She did part of the interview in English -- switched to Russian because the clerk spoke so quickly. Was asked the ages of my children. Was asked how many time we met in person and when was the last meeting. Was asked where did we decide to marry (ie, proposal location). Smooth and easy.

Over all the interview went well, Very nice people!! Olga stated that they asked somewhere around four questions: What her fiance's name is? How we met? How many times we met, and what were the circumstances? How we communicate? Liza experienced a much easier experience, Liza is Olga's Daughter! They simply asked her if she was ready to go to America? If she knew any english? That was about it in a nutshell, simple process!! As long as you follow the guidelines and fill out ALL of the paperwork, double and triple check everything, then you will be good to go!! Olga did say that no one that she saw got denied!! Overall she was there about two hours.

The interview went very smoothly, although she said everyone who worked there was rude, both the Americans and the Russian workers. She said she could hear them making jokes about the Russian women scamming American men. Otherwise the interview went fine. They took her documentation and looked it over, then asked her questions: how did we meet, describe me (the USC), what will be her address in the states, and have I been to Russia. They also asked her to talk about her photographs and for the names of my parents. Then they told her the visa would be sent to her in 3-4 days.
NOTE: Because she translated her own documents, they did not allow her to have the interview in Russian. She had to speak English. It was fine in this case, because she speaks good English, but she said she wishes she could have spoken Russian because she was so nervous. So if your fiance(e) would rather have the interview in Russian, make sure the documents are translated by somebody else. ... read complete review
