Once we knew that our packet was at the embassy we paid the fee and submitted the DS-160 without waiting for packet three. We also emailed the consulate and asked them to send us packet 3 electronically so we would get it sooner-- which they did and we still got the hard copy of packet 3 too. Contacting them was an unnecessary step, but we were trying to speed up the process as much as possible.
I attended with my fiance. Our interview was scheduled for 8:30, and we arrived a few minutes early. There was a line at the side of the building we had to wait in. They let us in together, checked our passports, and we went through security. You cannot take in an big bag or liquid. No watches with GPS. IF you bring your phone you have to turn it off and leave it a security for pick-up when you leave. You are then sent downstairs where they scan your UID number and send you to a window to get a number. There is a separate group of windows for immigrant (including K visa) and non... read complete review

The consulate was very courtesy and all went well. There were no problems during the interview process.
My only complaint is that for citizens of other countries (i.e. Belarus) there was confusion as to where to pick up the visa. If you are from a different country make sure you validate that you are to pick up the visa from the embassy.

My Fiance and I traveled to Warsaw for our K1 visa interview last week. Our interview was on a Thursday so there were not many people there (I think there were 4 immigrant visa submissions in line before us), but we still ended up waiting for 3 hours.
We got there at 8:30 and there was no one else waiting outside. I was able to bring in my purse, but we had to leave our phones at the entrance to the Embassy. Remember to take the laminated number they give you. We forgot to take the one they gave us so I had to prove to them that the phone is mine upon leaving. It was easy because I had a photo of myself on there but it still took some time. Also if you have any liquids, toss them. I forgot I had a little bottle of hand sanitizer and they were fine with it, but they checked my purse to make sure there wasn't something else.
Once you get inside you go downstairs and give them your appointment confirmation, and they put a sticker on my fiance's (the benefici... read complete review

I had a 8:30am appointment. Got there around 8:20, the line was already quite long in front of the entrance. Before you get in they make you leave all of your electronics with the security (you receive a laminated number to get it back after the appointment). I forgot I carried a pepper spray in my purse. The embassy security told me to leave the building and throw it in the trash across the street. Then I was allowed back in the building. Save yourself the trouble - don't try to bring that kind of stuff into the embassy
From there you go downstairs to register, get your number and the waiting game begins. After my number was called I approached the window and talked to a Polish embassy employee, who collected all the missing documents (in my case they wanted to get the original of our marriage certificate, original of my birth certificate, original of my police clearance). Then she told me to go sit down and wait some more. Then I was called again to the wind... read complete review
