The interview was a very nice experience as always (I've been there twice for non-immigrant visa as well). Nothing surprising or unusual - just prepare all the required documentation listed in the letter from the embassy and everything should go smoothly like for me today!

Whole process took me around 2 h. Everyone in the embassy were very professional and friendly. Interview itself was in English only. Security check first (small bag and a folder with visa related documents allowed, mobiles must be handed over). Later getting my number, asked for visa related documents and later for fingerprints. After reviewing my case for a loooong time the consular official started very smooth interview.
I got so excited after approval that I totally forgot to ask for my birth certificate original back.

very nice and short visit. it all took not more than 40 min with all security check and registration at the embassy.
the councelor asked oonly how we met and what I like/dislake about my partner.
no questions about anything else.

I had my interview on August 2nd at 8.30 (there was not any other hour to choose). Came in a little before 8.00 and already 3 people ahead of me for immigrant visas. Before you go to a proper building you have to pass the security like at the airports. Have your passport and other documents in hands. They asked me to turn off my phone, took it and gave me a sticker with the number so I could pick it up later. All interviews are downstairs, in the same place. The signage is pretty good so you can't get lost  . First I walked over to the desk where they asked for my name and confirmation of filling the ds-160. I was told to go to the end of the room for my number. There was no one in the window so I rang and had to wait few minutes before someone appeared and gave me my number. Then I was sitting and waiting for my turn to give the documents. They took all documents mentioned in packet 3 except proofs of our relationship.
