Our interview date was 5/24/07. We had a problem similar to others I have read about here in that there wasn't quite enough time to get all the documents together. We received the interview date on 05/10/07 -- two weeks before the interview and one of the documents (Antecedents de Judiciales) takes longer to get so it wasn't ready on the day of the interview.
We went to the embassy very early in the morning (7:30). There was a line outside but it was not very long. We were admitted inside the embassy exterior wall and proceeded to the area near the entry door. There were alot of people waiting outside but I beleive they were waiting for other types of visas because we were alowed to enter the embassy very quickly since we had papers for the K-1 visa. Our actual appointment time was 9:30 but we were called to the first window within less than 1/2 hour. The women at this window was very knowledgeble and very polite. She was Peruvian and she spoke mostly spaninsh but was able... read complete review

Greetings in H.I.M name
let is be praised

So Marilyn arrived 15 min. before her interview. She entered normally, then in about 15 min. a lady called her to the first window. She asked Marilyn for all the documents she had to fill out, then she asked for all the documents I had to fill out and send to Marilyn. After that she looked at the evidence that we sent to prove we had a valid relation still. She asked her some questions which were;
How does she know me? In what month of what year?
What is my name?
Where I live?
How old am I?
what do I do for work?
When was the first time we saw each other?
What month and year did i come?
after she asked Mari if she was married before and divorced?
If she has children?
If she has any relatives in the USA?
Those were all the questions that lady at the first window asked Mari
Then she told Mari to take a seat and she will be called up... read complete review

We had our interview at 915 in the morning we got there an hour early. the lady working on the line was a real bitch. we tried to go to the gate but she yelled at us and told us first to stay in line in front of her then 20mins later she moved us to a second line then she pointed at us and told us to get to the end of the line, very rude. we finally get in and sit in the back so we are comfy and we are called up three times. first was for her ds forms the lady was nice. second time was for some of my info. how we met how long we have been together ect ect. third time we were called up for my tax review and the guy was very nice he joked with us and told us that we were approved. the only problem we had was the bitch out side. other then that it went smooth. you dont have anything to worry about as long as you have all you proper paper work. good luck. took 4 hour to get our approval.

Our interview date was 3/12/07. The main problem that we had was that there wasn't quite enough time to get the documents together. We only received the interview date on 02/26/07 -- two weeks before the interview and one of the documents (Antecedents de Judiciales) takes 15 days so it wasn't ready on the day of the interview.

The interview itself was pretty easy and is nothing to worry about. I accompanied Betty throughout the interview.

Our appointment was for 7:45 AM. We arrived at the embassy at 7:15 and that was about right. There were several guards (Peruvians) walking down the line outside the embassy checking to make sure that we had all of the documents that we would need inside. One of the guards told us that one of Betty's forms (DS-156), which she had filled out by hand, needed to be filled out and printed via a computer. I just told Betty to ignore her as the form plainly stated to "TYPE OR PRINT CLEARLY." Although this made Betty pr... read complete review

The visa interview process in Lima was straight-forward with no surprises. We arrived at the Embassy for a 9:00 AM interview at 8:30 AM.

After passing through security, you enter another checkpoint. From there, you sit in a waiting area by windows 9-14. Everything before window 9 is for non-immigrant applicants. Window 15 is actually secured by a door for private interviews apparently. Looking around, we saw few couples but many families. One family of six had won the visa lottery.

At 9:00 exactly, they called my fiancée to window 14. The lady was patient and asked for the I-156 (2 copies w/ photos), I-156K, her passport, and visa payment receipt. Note that the156K form that the Embassy sends you is ancient compared to the one on the Internet. You will be asked for the first.

After 15 min, my fiancée was then called to window 10. I was told to sit down while she was asked for everything else (3 police reports, medical exam -... read complete review
