It was fairly easy. It was a good experience. Followed procedure in the morning, fingerprints, etc.

Was asked a few general questions that were posted here earlier by other people as well. Such as name of fiance, where will you be going, etc.

We were nervous before the interview. Just because people have posted a lot of negative experiences here. But mostly if your case is straight forward, i think it goes pretty smoothly.

His interview lasted about 5mins. and he was approved right there. He was told, he will receive his visa in 8-10 days. He got it on the 10th day. javascript:emoticon('')

My wife was at the diplomatic enclave that houses all foreign embassies at 7 am sharp. As soon as she arrived, the bus that takes applicants from the waiting area to the actual embassy was already standing there. The officials rushed her immediately right from the door and hurriedly told her to get on the bus immediately. She barely had time to give her belongings to her parents, quickly check if she had all her documentation and then be ushered in. She reached the embassy, got off the bus and stood in line for Immigrant Visa applicants. When her number came she was told to hand in her sealed medical envelope and appointment letter and then was told to wait in the waiting room. Her interview was scheduled for 8 am but she had to wait until 10 am.

At 10 am she was called by the consular officer, who had all her originals in front of him. There was an Urdu translator standing behind the CO. He first asked her if she would like to give the interview in Urdu or English. My w... read complete review

What a great and easy experience this whole process was. From the start it seemed like everything happened on time if not earlier. I filed my wife case on Aug 15 and she was approved on April 4th.

As far as the consulate interview goes, Wife told me she got to the Islamabad embassy shuttle point at 7:30am with her mother and brother. She was on the only one that took the shuttle to the embassy while the family stayed back. She said when she went inside the embassy they took her passport, medical report and took her finger prints. After that they told her to go have a seat. She said after few minutes they called her name and told her to go sit in a different room. She sat there for about an hour before they called her up to the interview booth. White Immigration officer who spoke urdu interviewed her. She said it didn't even take 5 minutes for her interview. She told me they asked her

Review Topic: General Review

My Fiance arrived at the Embassy designated parking area around 6:45AM. From there he caught the shuttle to the Embassy and was in processed for his interview. Upon receiving the token after handing over his passport which will be used to pickup his passport from the American Express office, he place it into the binder of documents he was carrying. He took his seat in the waiting hall which he said was filled with about 100 or so people.

After some time his name was called and he went to the appropriate window. They began conducting the interview. They got to the questions of What I (petitioner) do for a living and where I work. They seemed shocked by his answer and asked him to take a seat and wait for a little while longer. After some time, they escorted him into a private office where they began interviewing him a second time. This time the questions lasted for about an hour. My fiance was very confident about his answers and said that his interview actually went AWE... read complete review
