After Three days of Protest in Islamabad. US Embassy was open for my Wife's Interview.
Business as usual, When her name was called she talked to the translator.
Basic Questions:
-How did you meet ?
-What does he do ?
-Where does he live ?
-How Often do you talk ?
-What is the time there right now ?
Nothing out of the ordinary reviews you read here of Islamabad Embassy
Told her, her papers are good.
She was Approved.
Visa will be issue by American Express Travels in 7-10 days, will receive a call.

Once we were in the embassy, there were alot of people around me. Firstly i was directed to a counter after my name was called out where I paid the designated fee and showed them any documents they asked for and was directed back to sit and wait till my name was called out. Within a few hours my name was called out and I was directed to the window where an Immigration Officer took my interview. It started with an Oath of telling the truth and nothing but the truth.
He was a sweet person and we began our conversation in English and I told him I was much comfortable in English accent because I was always conversing in English with everyone around.
He asked me if I knew Urdu, and I told him yes I did.
Questions relative to my Fiance's full name, DOB, How long did she have spent in US, what does she do, how did you guys meet and why I wanted the wedding to happen there and not in Pakistan were asked.
I answered them and he proceeded with typing on information... read complete review

Alhumdulillah everything went well for my husband. They did in fact give him a blue paper that says 221g. It says that he needs to update his passport (which expires in 2-3 months). They gave back all of our original documents. They kept this passport and said your procress should be complete in about 2-3 months. Alhumdulillah. Even though we are put on AP... I'm grateful that the interview procress went well. They did ask him why our nikkah ceremony was so small.... Going to be in Pakistan in 2 months .... Can't wait to see my husband and in sha Allah bring him back home wth me.
From his perspective:
I got to the embassy around 7:30 and went inside the gates. I made two copies of my interview letter... One to show the people for the entrance and one for the CO during my interview. They check my belongs in... Took my phone (because phones are not allowed). They took my fingerprints and told me to have a seat. My interview was at 8am. By that time I was cal... read complete review

My Mother reached embassy at 7.30 Am for 8.00 appointment. She Was allowed to enter with her elder son (not the petitioner/not USC)to help her navigate the interview process. The security staff suggested they dont normally let non petitioners accompany the applicant inside but they will make an exception. She submitted her medical exam, passport to the first counter and was told to take a set with my brother. After a few minutes she was called to the window where a gentleman asked her to take the oath. She asked the translator that she will be doing Q&A in urdu. My brother was allowed to stand next to her but not to participate in Q&A. Here are the questions she was asked
1. Why are you going to the states?
2. Whats your Daughter In Law`s name?
3. What are the names of his children?
4. Can you show us some pictures of you and your son together?
That was it ! The CO told my mother that you are appr... read complete review
