She is good in English so she prefered English .
Third and Final CALL ,she was interviewd by American Women. She Looked at my Wife and told he that you the first person since morning I m interviewing in English , rest were all Urdu Traslated. That was a good impression she had on her. While communicating she also appreciated her English skills .

She asked these 2 questions

Is this your first marriage ?
Wife: yes

Did you travelled outside the country ?
Wife : No - As you can see this is the first time im making passport.

She was very friendly and told her she has also viisted your Husband STATE-VA, liked it too. Congraulations I have approved your Visa . and you will like VIRGINIA too.
Then took her passport and gave her a coupon saying you can collect VISA in 7 days when you will recieve a call from AMERICAN EXPRESS.
Thats it , No documents asked not even touched no PCC- PICTURE, proofs of Financial Support nothig .
My wife came back very happy around 1.15pm

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Hello to all!

Here I m gonna tell u about my interview experience in Islamabad USEM.I will give the detail experience coz it will be helpful for rest of the applicants who are waiting for their interviews.

My interview date was 10 Nov at 8am.I decided to go to Islamabad in night of Sunday.
I reached Islamabad at 3:45am.I was with my brother & friend, so we decided to stay in a hotel for few hours.

We setoff from hotel at 5:21am.We reached near the convention center in approx. 20 mins.Security was very strict in Islamabad before the convention center there was a police check post who refused us to go for convention center, we were worry coz we had to reach the convention center before 6am.They told us that we know your interview would be at 8am and u have lot of time, they were so mean and strict. They told us to come here at 7am.
Well then we decided to go back in nearest hotel n take some tea or coffee. At 6:20am We decided to go to convention center this time we took a taxi and told the taxi diver about the situation and my interview he was a very good man he knew how to handle the matter .He told us don’t worry come with me I will drop u at convention center. We went with him and he talked to policemen and then crossed the police check post successfully.

I was at convention center at 6:35am.We saw there were only 13 to 14 people in USA line.Thanx God it was very good coz I could my ticket in time. Ticket man came at 7:05am.I showed my Appointment letter and passport for identity he charged Rs.50.
Then I went for checking, guards check me with metal detector here I wanna mention that don’t take any bags with u just take transparent file covers or something like that which must be transparent. I was standing in USA line then after 5 minutes first shuttle was ready to take us. There was hardly 22 or 24 ppl in.When we reached at USEM there was a guard who was making 2 lines1st line was for Non Immigrant and 2nd line was for Immigrant. He also saw our appointment letter and passport then let us in.
After the checking guard told me and other 3 ladies to go in room# 4 in which American lady sat behind the window and a Paki boy was stood in room actually he was taking the finger print. He took me finger print.

Note: There is no finger print fee.

American lady said to me Good morning and smiled and I replied with smile and said good morning too.
When I came out the guard told that u have to wait in this room. I entered in the room and after 5 mins I called for window #5 and there were a paki boy who was very nice he said to me salam and I replied him back

He asked in which which language you will prefer to talk I said “English”.
He asked abt my medical report and my Police certificate which was demanded in appointment letter, I gave them both. Then he asked me that,

Were you involved in or participated in any terrorist activity?

I replied” No” of course .lol

He smiled and said ok I was smiling too.

Then asked me to signed at the end of DS230 form.He asked do u have pictures of your wedding, I replied yes
Then he said ok and plz wait for your next call.

After 35 mins I called on window #3 there was a American guy with a Pakistani lady translator they both said “hello” to me and I replied them in hello too.
Pakistani translator girl told me to raise your hand and to say that all the documents which you have provided us is right and I didn’t hide anything.
I said the same.

Then American Consular Officer asked me who is your Petitioner, after this Paki girl translated I replied back suddenly and told him that” My wife”.
American CO asked me “Can u speak English?
I said yes.

He smiled and said to paki girl to go back coz he can handle it now.
He was looking happy coz he could talk to me directly that is the good thing and I will suggest for all that if you can speak English then plz give your interview in English coz it’s a positive sign.

He asked that where did u meet?
When did we get marry?
What was the wedding date?

Everything thing was going smoothly then asked us where the original English translated marriage paper is.
I replied sir we have already sent it to u.
That was very big mistake from our side coz unfortunately we did not send them original by mistake, because I notarized and got foreign affairs attested. There was ticket from foreign affairs office which was not original obviously coz it was color copy and he caught it easily. (Oh God very big biiiiiiiiig mistake)...

Well he stopped questioning and asked do you have the original and I replied no my wife has the original.
Then he started to type something in computer and took out blue slip and also green with it. Then he started to talk with American lady who sat beside him, they were discussing my case and I could hear some words easily.
Before he starts talking to me” I asked him that Can I say some thing?
He said ok sure sir,

Then I told him that I m on expedition request coz my wife is very sick she wanna see me there as soon as and shes expecting me there in this week.
He replied yes I was reading your expedition request regarding your wife’s health “But sorry sir I have to follow the rules there is nothing in my hand,

He showed me blue slip in which he mentioned me the original Translated marriage certificate and he also showed me the green slip and he said besides it your case also need some administrative processing. He said you have to send us the original translated marriage paper.

Guys when he told me this I again try to tell him our situation and showed him my frustration and worry, He was clearly getting it. And he was sorry for it.

Then he said sir I can only do thing for you as soon as u will get the original Translated marriage certificate then u can send it with your passport and then he pasted a sticker on my passport and list of approved courier paper. He told me to keep very safe this paper.
He said your AP starts form now.

Here comes a question guys He put me on AP.But he also told me that I can send my passport with the original English translated paper.

What it means? Will they ask about passport in AP?

It was the experience of my interview and I completed my promise to paste my interview experience.

Thanks and plz keep praying for me as well.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I reached Convention center (not exactly the convention center but this place hidden away in trees where the bus stand is) at about 6 AM, as we got lost. Islamabad’s been under very tight security and virtually all main roads have barricades now. Got in queue for the ticket to shuttle. Before standing in queue, always check if you are in the right queue. Kept my NIC, Passport and Interview letter to be showed at the counter. Apparently anyone accompanying you to this point can get a ticket to the shuttle and can accompany you to the embassy, minus your cell phones, food items and drinks. They can sit outside the embassy on the benches and wait for you.

The ticket counter opened around 7 am. The queue moved quickly. I got the ticket and was in line for the shuttle. Had a security check where men were told to leave bags behind, women however were allowed to carry their handbags as long as there weren’t any cell phones or other mechanical devices. Carrying food was not encouraged. I got on the first shuttle that left for the embassy and enjoyed the slightly long and slow ride to the embassy. Must lookout for the nice sights… they can help you calm down. I had reached the embassy by I think sometime around 8 am. As soon as we got off the bus, we were suppose to stand in another queue; two this time, one for immigrant visas and other for non-immigrant. Guard checked the passport and interview letter and sent people to another security check post. Here they make sure you have no food items or drinks taken inside the embassy. Next there was another queue…and then the guard sent me inside the building. Another check of all the documents I had through the machine and my name checked on their list. I was inside. They told me to go down a long corridor that seemed to lead to a room, which seemed like a bunker. This was for immigrant visa applicants only and they took my fingerprints. Next was the waiting room. Both immigrant visa and non-immigrant visa applicants are interviewed in this hall.

I was first called to window 5 and was asked to submit my passport. I was also asked the medium of language I would like to be interviewed in. Then told to sit and wait to be called again. Next I was called to window 7 and the person there asked for my medical report (just the report and not the x-ray). He also asked me to remove my scarf to see my headline and hair. He returned some extra copies of documents my husband had submitted with the DS-230 and I-864. After that he arranged my file and asked me about a question from DS-230 that was not clear to him. I had submitted an extra script with the required answer and he found that. Then he asked me if I am part of any terrorist organization. We both smiled as the answer was obvious. He then asked me to sign DS-230’s part II. He did not ask for any documents nor did he ask for recent 2x2 photos. I had to ask him for that but he said that was not necessary. He asked if I have any photos with me. I said yes and asked if he wanted to see them…he said that was not needed. He told me to sit and wait to be called again. Confirmed again that the interview will be in English.

After a few minutes I was called at window 3. This was the final interview. The Consular Officer was a White American. He greeted me nicely. Asked if I am comfortable being interviewed in English, then said that my qualification makes me eligible to be fluent in English. He handed me the originals I had submitted with the DS230, along with the list of courier services available and a token stapled to it. Then he asked the following questions:

1. Who is my petitioner?
2. When did we get married?
3. How did we meet?
4. Was getting married to him an issue with my family?
5. What does my husband do?
6. Have I ever been outside Pakistan before?
7. When I said yes, he asked me the places I have been to.
8. He asked if I have all my previous passports with me. I showed them to him.
He typed in all the passport numbers in the system.

Next he took out this green sheet and stamped the date on it. Wrote my case number on it. He said that he is unable to issue the visa right away but congratulated me and said that my visa has been approved. Said that I do not need to come to the embassy for another interview. He said he has already given me the list of courier services through which I should send in my passport as soon as the embassy calls. He also said that it should take about 2 months to get this check done but in good cases, it should not take that long. He returned the passport along with that green sheet and said I should hear from the embassy soon.

This was it. I was done with the interview and back to the shuttle point by 10.

Hope this review helps.

P.S. They did not ask for any documents or evidences (which by the way were plenty), as I believe my husband had sent in photos and affidavits along with the I-130 and DS230.

Overall it was a pleasant experience and I came out happy. Allaah be praised.

The interview was done by a black American guy who mostly verified the information, and asked only two question.

When did you get married?
How long have you been married?
Also, asked to see the wedding pictures.

Information he verified was

Is your name this XYZ
Is your husband name XYZ

There was no fee charged for the fingerprints. she was at the embassy at 6:30, and was done with everything by 12:00 PM
