Had my interview in Dec 2015. Arrived in the embassy early in the morning (6:30am) and the booking for shuttle service opened at 7 and me and my fiancee were the first ones to get on the shuttle. Arrived embassy at 7:30am where we cleared the security check and were asked for our interview letter. We were given a token number. Around 8:30am I was called for my fingerprints and photo. Half hour after that I was called and was asked for my medical report. After another half hour I was called to submit the fees. After about 45 more minutes I was called in for interview. The interview went well and I was asked normal questions, like what my fiancee does for a living, where she studied and how we met. That is it. I was told "everything looks good" and I would have to wait 4 weeks to get my visa. 6 weeks after the interview I got my visa . Everything at the embassy was so organized and systematic and there were no problems that we fa... read complete review

We were placed on AP after interview due to required joint sponsor.
It took me 7 weeks to find a proper joint sponsor and sending the documents overseas to the approved document delivery service and in the meantime, I emailed the embassy once to ask about a certain type of joint sponsor. They replied within 2 days and with the exact information I needed. Once the paperwork reached the embassy from my end, it took literally 3 days for them to update status to "issued"
My experience with the US embassy has been great.

It went very well and the officer was quite friendly. He asked my fiance what my parents' full names are and why he loves me, what his favorite thing about me is.
CO made sure to look at him very carefully and intensely during his answers; looking for signs of deception. After a couple more questions, he said everything looks good and handed over a white 221 'refusal' sheet....with the AP box checkmarked. Took my fiance's passport and said wait. Said it can take several weeks.

Reached the embassy at 5:45, the gates opened at 6:15. Once we were inside the ticket booth they started giving tickets at 7:15. We got on the bus after a few mins and reached the embassy in around 15 minutes.
Once in the embassy, they give you a token number and you get called to a few counters to submit fingerprints, medical records, pictures and fee.
I selected English so I was called for the interview only within a few minutes.
The CO was a nice young man and asked me only a few basic questions, I showed him the pictures which he flipped through and said everything looks fine but we need more processing and to contact the embassy after a month. It lasted for only a few mins.
There was security at every point but they were nice and just doing their jobs.
Overall it was a nice experience but wish I had approved on the spot. I understand the need for further processing though and hope it won't be long.

It was a very cold morning and fog was covering every thing. Reached at shuttle gate at 6:15 am there was a long Que of people waiting to get tickets. The person came at 7:00 am and started giving the tickets. Got ticket by showing my passport he entered the number into the system (ticket cost is 200 rs.) and get on the shuttle. It is a log ride on the shuttle till you reach the embassy entrance. At the entering point they scan every thing and then let you into the waiting room. There they make you stand in the relevant line in my case it was immigration visa line. The gentleman was a friendly native he took the first page of my interview letter and gave me a token number and asked me to sit and wait for the number to be called. After long wait my number was called to a window where i gave my finger prints. After good 20 minutes my number was called again and went to the window there he asked me for my original birth certificate and original Nikkah nama. Then he asked me for my cell n... read complete review
