Being from Norway we have to go through the embassy in Stockholm for all immigrant visas.
I flew in the day before my appointment since it was schedule fro 8:30am and no flights arrive early enough from Norway to make it there in time. Stayed at the Riddergatan Hotel which was actually very nice and pretty affordable. It was in walking distance from both the embassy and the train station (about 15 min from the station and 20 min from the embassy).

Embassy opens at 8:00am, but I was there at 7:50am, and they already started to let people in. It was just me and another person waiting. Went through security with just one slight hitch, I brought tons of letters that my wife had written me over the years (as evidence of bonafide marriage), when they sent them through the xray they saw that one of the letters contained some small electronics. I then had to go through all the cards to figure out which one it was (around 50 letters/cards), but it turns out it was a Twili... read complete review

Arrived early in the morning as the 2nd applicant, 30 minutes before my interview. The interviewer was a nice young lady, and it was done quick. Gathered a lot of proof, which helped. I was notified instantly that my application was approved, and was out in an hour after arriving. Over all great experience.

It took 12 min to pass the security check, hand over the paperwork they asked for and answer a few basic questions and get out again. Easy

Arrived at the embassy at 8:30 for my 9:00 appointment. Two people were ahead of me in the immigrant line inside the embassy. Gave the Swedish guy all my paperwork, and was told that my police certificate was not accepted because it was in Norwegian. I had translated it myself and "certified" it according to USCIS recommendations, but since he knew I could get it in English, I had no luck reasoning with him..

I had prepared lots of information to prove that we have an ongoing relationship, but they did not want it.

So I sat down, waited for 1.5 hours or so, and had my interview. The little old lady started off by asking "Tell my about your future wife", and I told her how we met and what she is like. Other questions seemed more random, like "What does your fiancee love and hate", "What do you like to do together", "Where will you be living", "Who will control the finances", "Does she like your cooking" "How much did she make last year", "Does your family... read complete review

Visa approved!! Thanks everyone for all your help!!!!

A blonde American lady in her 50s greeted me with a smile and said "I see you had a wonderful wedding in Hawaii!" To which I answered "yes, perfect place to do it!" She then said "yes, I saw the pictures!"

I was in a haze for most of the interview, but from what I remember the questions went something like this from there on:

- So when was the wedding?
- And where did you meet?
- And where did you go to school? (I went to school in the US)
- What made you choose that school?
- So tell me how the relationship progressed.
- What's something about her that you love, and what's something that irritates you?
- How long were you two together in the US?
- Why now all of a sudden did you guys choose to go to the US?
- What do you do for work?
- What will you be doing in the US?
- Who will be managing you guys\' finances?
