My husband was approved javascript:emoticon(' ') He will be picking up his Visa next Friday. All he could tell me was a lady interviewed him. Spent about 15 minutes with him and asked him about 10 questions. I will get all the details and post later today. Thank you VJ'rs.

My wife got to the embassy as early as 5am for a 7am appointment. They were allowed into the embassy around 6:30am. Below are some of the questions she was asked:
Who is the petitioner?
Was he married before?
When did he get separated from his ex-wife? When was their divorced finalized?
How do you communicate? What do you talk about? Evidence of call logs, chat logs, email, skpe.
What will be your address in the USA?
How did you meet?
Do you have marriage photos? Let me see them.
In summary, it was a nice experience.

One big lesson first and foremost is that you can never be too prepared. I would like to thank all VJ members for their encouragement and answers while getting ready for this interview. First off, be ORGANIZED!! Our interview date was scheduled for a date 3 months after our petition got approved. We had enough time to get ready. We printed off all the possible questions we could be asked from VJ and we practiced and rehearsed at EVERY opportunity. Apart from getting the answers right, we all know that because of the difference in culture, Americans and Nigerians see things differently. For example, back in Nigeria, it is rude to establish eye contact (especially with an older or "oga"ish person), but not looking into the eyes of the person talking to you, or the person you're talking to in America, means you are being dishonest. So we practised things like that, making sure we talk about the different ways to compose yourself during the interview. (that matters a lot)

Our interview was schedule for 7am. We arrived there around 5:45, there were just a handful of people in line because apparently there was a 6:30 appointment as well. At around 6:30 the gate finally opened and a woman came out and said that we should form a line on the other side of the gate so it was the last people in the initial line that ended up going in first (go figure).
A man came out and started to instruct everyone to open all the sealed envelopes including the one given at the medical exam. We finally got past the first security checkpoint and formed another line based on the type of visa you are applying for (immigrant vs. nonimmigrant). We arrived at the desk where these two women keep shouting at everyone if you take more than 1 second to give them what they are asking for. .
