My interview at the Consulate was February 5th, 2014. arrived at the consulate at about 5.45am for my 7a.m appointment. went through all the security check and was ushered inside the interview room. there were two categories; Immigrant Visa and Non Immigrant Visa. People on the NIV were much more than IV. I was given a ticket with a number and asked to watch out for my number on the flash screen. My number was called and the black African guy collected my Passport and Birth certificate and asked me to go sit down. my number was called the second time and another black African guy asked for my affidavit of support and some few other documents. Finally, it was time for my interview proper with this very polite White American Lady.
She asked me to raise my Right hand and made me take an oath that i will tell the truth in my interview today. I did and she commenced the interview.

Hello everyone ..am a newbie here ..NVC just sent my my case to Lagos some days ago ..my questions are (1) how long does it take to get a visa interview appointment in Lagos Nigeria (wait time) secondly ...what forms do I need to print out ? My 3rd question is about the affidavit of support ..I dnt make enough and I do go to school but I do file tax so definately using a joint sponsor too ..but which forms do we both file ? Will definately wait for your responses .thanks all

All glory, honor and praise be to the almighty God who never ceases to amaze us! <-- yes I better start speaking in us because my baby is coming on down stateside. Yes, my redeemer scored this K1 process for us in barely under 5 months! Call us lucky, blessed, whatever hahaha I'm beyond exhilarated. So this is a second-hand account:
Interview was scheduled for 7.a.m. I made sure homeboy was up by 4:30 to drive down to the consulate. Well, he was already on the road when I called him. #teamdedication!!
He got there around 5:45a.m. Did the usual check-in. It took me a whole month to put our package together so he said he watched the consular (a white lady) grow through all of the entire package before she called him. He was only asked 3 questions and no other documentation was requested:
G: Good morning (grinning like a damn fool, I love this man!!)
