Review Topic: EB-3 Visa

Our interview held today at US Consulate in Lagos. Everything was smooth sailing and we got our approval on the spot. Yesterday, we got a sign that all will go well. Our 15-month old son walked for the first time and that created a joyful atmosphere in our home.
BACKGROUND OF OUR CASE
Our visa category was EB-3 (an employment-based immigrant visa) and the petition was filed on our behalf by my employer. The process took 6 months (August, 2015 – February, 2016) to complete. Our priority date was August 20, 2015. The I-140 petition went through premium processing and got approved in less than 15 days.
MAIN GIST
Our appointment was for 7am but we got to the embassy by 5.30 am. There were already about 20 persons waiting. At 6.00 am we lined up went through the first security screening by police men. We were checked using a hand-held metal detector. Thereafter, we lined up in front of the pavilion and were given instructions by the embassy security staff. We w... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Well, my husband had his interview on 1/28/2015. I traveled to Nigeria for the interview and am just getting back, thus the late reply. He thought the interview went well, however we were placed on AP. We arrived around 5:30 am and there were a few people milling around. At promptly 6:00 am a security guard came out to tell us that we should begin to queue up around 6:30 and that those with 6:30 am appointments should be first in line. At 6:30 another guard came out to bring us over to the corral area to get ready to queue up. A guard came out and called for anyone that had applied for a student visa and had a 6:30 am appointment. I think only one person was there for a student visa. He then asked for immigrant visa applicants with 6:30 am appointments. I think there was one or two people. About 10-15 minutes later, they called for the immigrant visa applicants with 7:00 am appointments. My husband was one of them so we queued up. I went as far as I could go, but obviously could not g... read complete review

Hello,
I had my immigrant interview in Nigeria on 28 January 2016.
After my interview, the consular officer told me my case is approved, gave me a collection slip, and also a slip saying my case will undergo further administrative processing. What does this mean. Can an approved case still undergo administrative processing?

We are not approved yet but surely they will. My first and foremost advice is that you have your evidence like pictures and communications sent during USCIS OR NVC stage.
During our (My husband) interview, he was asked these following questions
Who is the petitioner
Have you been to the US
When last we met
How many times have you been to Nigeria
When last he saw my parent (Because my parents just came back from the US I GUESS)

We are still at AP now because the Consular need to go check our facebook i guess. because hubby told me she asked for his facebook name and also kept all our chat communications.
I hope this review will be helpful. so also before our interview i read someone review about remembering to print Ds260 confirmation page so please dont forget that. UPDATE your facebook page and make it public that is my advice. please please say a prayer for us.
Good luck

Yay... All glory to God Almighty, I got my Visa approved. I'm so sorry for written this late.
It was all a good and simple interview. Well my visa interview was January 15th 2016 and my interview time was 7:00am but I got to the Embassy at about 5:40am and there wasn't any queue yet but few minutes later we were asked to queue and on one side is immigrant and on the other side is for non-immigrant. We were asked to bring out our int'l passport, letter of invitation, DS260 confirmation page and then the medical result and it should be opened, after which all of this was checked by the security officer and we were asked to go inside were we meet with some security officers and all of my documents were checked and I was screened and I was told to go straight after which I met with another officers that asked for my letter of invitation which I handed to them and my name was cross-cheked in a paper and when they got my name I was given a white paper to filling in my details and a s... read complete review
