I thank God for this whole process because everything was made possible through Him.
My interview was on 14th of April, 2016, exactly 90days after NOA1 (first notice of action that our case was received ), so basically the whole process was exactly 3months.
I got to Walter Carrington in Lagos at exactly 6:20am as my appointment was for 6:30am. As I was walking down the street to the US Embassy I met so many people asking if my documets were complete. After I made the position of Nigerian Laws clear that payment of Bride Price alone without more cannot ground a valid customary marriage, (Sorry law can be boring), the Consular officer said she stood by her decision and suggested we file I-130. I graciously accepted her suggestion and left. Albeit disappointed.
Fast forward to today, the event of last year made took the shine away a bit but I seriously needed to remain confident and I was. I arrived at the Lagos Consulate at 7.00am for an intervie... read complete review
