So I accompanied my fiance to the embassy and we got there pretty early like around 6 am. His interview was scheduled for 7am. We stood at one place until 6:30 or so and then they called the interviewees into a line to enter one building. As they were on the line, the workers were just checking documents ( appointment confirmation letters I guess). Then they went into the building. I stood in a waiting area until his interview was finished, I couldn't go inside with him.
My fiance says when it came to his turn to be interviewed they asked him to swear an oath then the CO asked him:
How did you and your fiance meet?
My fiance answered him and then the CO officer nodded his head in approval. My fiance said the interview was very conversational and easygoing. It was pretty quick, to be honest.
His advice to anyone going for an interview is to be confident, speak properly and just know your stuff. If you know your relationship is genuine you should be... read complete review

My sister and I were interviewed at the same time, the interview process was okay.
Questions the C/O asked us:Â
* Our names
* The name of our petitioner (my dad)
* Our Age
* Asked about our previous visitsÂ
* The year our dad moved to USÂ
* The state he lives in
* Last time he visited NigeriaÂ
* Year he became a citizenÂ
* What he does to earn a living
* Our pictures Â
* Asked about our mum
* Our future ambitions
* Asked my sister what her favorite subject wasÂ
* Told us to promise him we'd attend college when we move to US (This was not a question tho 😅)                  Â
* He asked if my parents lived with anyone else in the house. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Then he joked on how really cold and boring where we were going to be staying was, while laughin... read complete review

On the day of my interview, I was refused based on the ban at that time. But the consular gave me a paper that shows I will be given a waiver, and once my waiver is approved then I will get my visa I smiled and left. Guyssssss the wait was crazy. My case was updated up to 7 times and on the CEAC website it was showing refused. There was a lady I met on the day of my interview, she was interviewed before me by the same consular in window 4, we were in the same shoes so we kept calling each other to see if there was any update. One day she called me this was February mind you the interview was Dec 14th. So February she called me and said her visa has been issued, I rushed to check mine it was still showing refused. To cut the long story short my case status changed almost 4 months after my interview, which was in April. Some people went for their interviews January and got issued the next day.
Please guys no two cases are the same, the fact that you are both on the same Visa cate... read complete review

The interview was not that easy because the CO has no much time dealing with cases. He was in a hurry and won’t even check other documents of the new wage of my JOINT SPONSOR which shows her current new wages upon which we were DQ by the NVC. He went straight to check the Tax Return which reflects her old wages but declined to see other documents that show she is qualified.
In my assessment the interview wasn’t bad since the refusal wasn’t barred. The CO was very polite in his approach and gave an assurance that his decision wasn’t a bad one since I only need a new qualified joint sponsor whose W2 and tax transcript shows his wages.
