I am an LPR who petitioned for my wife and son in F2A category. Their visas were approved today at the Lagos Consulate. She said that the actual interview with the CO lasted less than 5 minutes. She was interviewed by a middle aged Caucasian American lady. She asked the following questions:
CO: Who is the Petitioner?
Wife: My husband
CO: How did he go to the US?
Wife: By DV lottery
CO: Where did he live when he got to the US?
Wife: He first lived in Sacramento, then in San Diego and now in Pittsburg, CA.
CO: What does he do for a living?
Wife: He's an engineer
CO: When did you guys get married?
Wife: Dec 31, 2005.
CO: When was your son born?
Wife: Jan 3, 2008
CO: So your child was born 2 years after you got married?
Wife: yes
CO: It seems you and your husband have known each other for a long time
Wife: Yes, w... read complete review

Hello everyone!i have 3 kids(k2).the oldest is my cousin that i adopted(i have documents to show!) We arrived early for the interview.I had been told to be confident but truly i was a nervous wreck! my kids' noise and presence eventually helped calm me a little. I was called and the CO was polite and asked for the medicals and birth certificates. he smiled at me and asked me if the kids were all my BIOLOGICAL kids. i said two were and one was adopted. he asked to see the adoption papers and I gave to him. he asked how i met my fiance, i said we met online. He asked if we had met and I said yes and he asked when and I told him how old he was and the CO pointed out that that my fiance was much older than I was. I said I liked it that way!,I was asked where he worked and lived, what car he used.I was also asked when i saw him last which was 1 year and 5 months.he asked me why we had not met again for so long and i said his mom had had strokes 4 times which kept him each planned trip. thi... read complete review

Hello VJ community
We were approved this morning in Lagos. Overall, our experience with the interview process was ok, our outcome was great. The interview took about 15 minutes. He was interviewed by a man. He mentioned there were 2 men and 2 women at the windows.
I want to give a big THANK YOU to everyone that posts to Visa Journey. Your posts and articles helped us through the entire process.
Here are the questions that were asked of my husband at the consulate in Lagos on today
1. How do you know your spouse?
2. Where did you meet your spouse?
3. Have you been married before? Do you have any children?
4. Has your spouse been married before? Does she have any children?
5. How many times has your spouse visited Nigeria? How long was each visit?
6. How do you and your spouse communicate? Evidence of call logs, chat logs, email.
7. Do you miss your wife and why.
8. When did you ... read complete review

My fiance's interview was today(Jan 12th) and it went well! He was approved and we both know that would not have been possible without VisaJourney.com and its vast resources, most especially the members. My fiance was prepared, very organized, and confident in his answers. The CO was the Asian lady, who is VERY tough! She asked him questions such as what I do, where I was born, number of times in Nigeria, how many siblings I have, how many siblings my father has, has he met my parents, was an introduction done, how did we meet, has he met/spoken to my siblings, along with a few more questions. She asked to see my affidavit of support and income documents, along with our pictures. After a brief review she congratulated him and asked him to come back next Tues to pick up the visa! I strongly recommend all future interviewees to pray, go over documents together with fiance(e)prior to interview, have plenty of pictures/supporting evidence, know about the petitioner's family backgroun... read complete review
