THE EXPERIENCE
- I got to the US Consulate by 5.45am.
Those for immigrant visas could be easily identified by the x-ray films they carried in their large brown envelopes.
- At about 6.20am, security men attached to the Consulate started to arrange the applicants into 3 lines.
We filed into the waiting bay, names were checked against the master-list, were processed, issued interview numbers and then had to wait for to be searched and
called into the Consulate compound in troops of fives.
- At about 7.15am, it was my turn and we went into the consulate.
The security guards seemed nice, friendly and courteous.
Inside the Consulate compound and we paid at a cashier post. IV and DV applicants paid in USD. I was surprised as I thought they would allow local currency. Okay, first of all i want to thank everyone who has supported me one way or the other on this journey most especially my dear friend KemKem. My interview was successful, i got the pick-up slips (for next friday 24th). Here was how its went...
I got to the embassy early enough 5:40am. The queuing started 6:30-7am. i got in around 8am, after 3hours it got to my turn.
Question:
1, Co: Who requested for you in the united state?
Me: My Wife
2 Co: What is her name?
Me: i gave her name
3) Co: Where did you met your wife?
Me: I met her online
Co: You have to speak out and into details
Me: Okay, I met her online on yahoo chat room
Co: Where on yahoo chat room
Me: Interracial dating
4: Co: Okay, when was that?
Me: I told her
5: Co: when did you see her last?
Me: I told her

9-9-09 Interview: Was placed under Administrative Review. Home visit done in December 2009. Was called on 1-21-10 to come back to Embassy for 2nd Interview.
1-27-10 2nd Interview: No additional questions asked. Was just told he checked out to be valid. Granted visa.
